DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Just watched the first episode raw, and it seem like it's going to be pretty promising. We got some choking drama already in the first episode! Looking at the space ship/alien/whateveritwas in the end of the episode it seems that there might be some more action in the next episode! |

| It all looked pretty enough. Hair flowing, birds flapping and water ehm crashing. Nothing too thrilling happened to grab my attention in episode 1 but with the revealing of big water mech thing at the end perhaps next episode will have more to offer. |

| Well, for starters I really hate the main character's haircut with a passion.... As for the episode it wasn't that interesting but it wasn't so bad either. I'll give it a few more episodes to convince me. |

| I thought it was nice and calm. Kind of just flowed nicely. I quite enjoyed it, and I am not going to drop this (though I rarely do so yeah) I also like the animation.. but maybe that's just me >_> except mustache man. He is ugly. :P |

| Looks like a lot of people weren't that interested in the start. The first episode was a bit slow but I still enjoyed it. It might be because I've read the manga. Even though this takes place before the manga's story I already have a slight idea of where certain events are headed so I can't wait to see more. |

| Wasn't a brilliant episode but i will give the anime an oportunity to show what he is made of. It wasnt visually superb but the art was pretty good actually. The main-character is kinda emo no? Haircut sucks. It isnt a shocking episode or with great plot revelations to grab a person but im kinda grabbed to it. I want to know what those blue eyes are :p |

I personally watch at least 5 Episodes before saying if it sucks or not, but truth must be spoken besides Naruto i never droped an anime. I have some lower ratings though |

| I was surprised by how many people here didn't like the first episode, I had to go back and check that I'd watched the same anime. I really dug the art style, the pacing, the mysterious atmosphere, and the WTF factor when the Yamato-esque space battleship surfaces at the end (and the cool ending credits). I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes next. I can think of several good anime that had bad or misleading first episodes. Heck, Kiddy Grade didn't even get going really until episode 9 (but once the rest of the show has been seen, the significance of the first 8 episodes becomes clear). Many shows need at least two episodes or so to even get the basic premise across (Evangelion, Kimagure Orange Road for two extremely opposite kinds of shows in this boat). All of the Key visual novel-based series (Kanon, Air, Clannad) start off with episodes that aren't neccessarily bad, but would lead the unknowing viewer to believe they are starting a typical harem anime comedy. Claymore wasn't so great in the early episodes. I've dropped shows after an episode or two only to find out later that they were worth watching further later. Still I can understand how this kind of story and pacing isn't for everyone. I'll reserve judgment myself until I see a few more episodes in case it gets less interesting later, but so far I think it's one of the more intriguing starts this season. |

| Nice strangulation sex attempt, but you should always make sure your partner is consenting and knows when you're about to do it. It's understandable that the girl was so turned on that she just couldn't wait to get it on, but a brief explanation could have made everything proceed more smoothly. |
| Pretty interesting start. I surely did not expect that strangulation or the fighting with the other students. Also, that alien ship... Hmm... What's going on?! |
