Wow this episode really made me O_O......let's see NOW......BLOOD/MORE NUDITY/BETRAYALS/EROTICISM. What more can make ONE GO O_O

This episode was a bit heavy for me cause the blood splatter was WAY MORE THAN THE 1 EPISODE.......is the manga worse......I mean bloodier and explicit???

I was surprised that Kuro had to also eat part of Kuromitsu apart from the blood sucking.

That guy with the GOLDEN MASK...MAN WAS HE A UGLY PIECE OF SHIT! BTW should he become immortal idiot should know that his appearance will not change anyways. So BACA HITO! Glad he is dead BTW.

What an odd anime, wasn't expecting what happened in episode 2. Curious what episode 3 will bring.

Very bloody episode, not Ninja Scroll bloody, but definitely up there.

It seems the series is gonna be like a more mature Samurai Jack. Except, instead of trying to get home, hes looking for his woman.

That was kind of an odd episode, but hey, I liked it. :)

Guess Kuromitsu patched Kuro back together, but since their blood hadn't finished mixing the healing process took quite a bit longer than it should have. Or something like that. o.o

Felli disapproves of this thread.

While I didn't like this episode quite as much as the first one the series continues to show promise and be really damn cool. The skipping around is pretty confusing, but since I started reading a bit into the manga it seems that it's something this series will do quite a bit so I'll just have to accept that.

Wow...just...wow. I was in awe during this episode. If the first one really got me interested, then this episode sealed the deal. I love this show now, maybe even as much as Kuroshitsuji (another fall show). This show has style AND substance! The mind game was awesome and the fight between Kuro and those 4 zombie samurai made me want to scream "Kuro, I love you!!!". I have a feeling that the end of this episode is going to tie in with the outcome of the series.

Holy shit! Just wait until Kuro finds Kuromitsu, dude will probably go batshit crazy after seeing what they done to her, most likely resulting in him killing everyone with extreme prejudice. Followed by angry, crazy sex with her for like... a week.

I hope it really happens.

It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die.

wow, that was intense. i wonder what that mark on benkei's hand meant. probably the symbol of a vampire exterminating clan? tho it seemed like he wanted to kill kuro from the beginning even before he was a vampire. now we are left we him sleeping for several hundred years, i wonder if there is any way of truly killing a vampire in this anime.

The first 1/4 of the episode, I thought, was very well done; it looked as if it was heading in the right direction. But once again, it quickly went in the wrong direction. Not a big fan of this series so far...it can till redeem itself though.

In the last scene are there destroyed buildings? because it looks like that on the screen on page 1. Just asking because he was walking through a destroyed city in one of the first scenes in ep1.

Can kinda predict what happened tho, that guy that stole kuromitsu is now evil and stuff and the main dude wants to save her. etc.

Quickie timeline for you guys.

The part with Kuromitsu talking to Kuro's head takes place in the Bakumatsu period (Shinsengumi makes it obvious). He's already been beheaded for several hundred years, and I'm assuming the murderer samurai is in fact some sort of Benkei reincarnation.

pretty much the same. they have sex whenever it's possible....

I'm surprise the anime follows EXACTLY the narattive structure of the manga, which is completely messed up (i.e. I don't like it)
bla bla bla
The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

Huh so the actual setting of the show is that of post apocalyptic earth. I'm rather confused as to how Kuro got his body back. The timeline is all messed up at the moment. Oh well hope they explain this more in detail later on and fix the whole humming thing in the background.

Thanks for that! I'm not familiar with Japanese history so that really helped straighten a few things out.

It looked like the buildings were destroyed, like something smashed into the middle and after many years it became a lake.

I only have one opinion of this episode - EFFING CLIFFHANGERS. D8<

What? It seemed to me that whole section was just part of the mind trip to undo the brainwashing that had turned their leader into benkei. I'm pretty sure none of that part before he wakes up in the cave actually happens.

For the most part, I loved the first two episodes. I was constantly confused about what was going on with Benkei - one minute he saved the main character, refusing to kill him when offered many chances, and then he seemed to suddenly be on the baddies side. Episode 2 confused me completely, I wasn't sure if Benkei was supposed to be the evil samurai at the start or if the focus just changed to the insanity of his mind randomly. And, talking of Benkei, the guy who Kuromitsu was drinking the blood of in the first episode looked like him...hell, every secondary character seems to have the same design as Benkei!

As always with anime at the start, I'm at a loss as to what's going on in terms of story, and the switching between samurai Japan and a post-apocalyptic setting isn't helping me out. Right now, I'm simply focusing on the main character and his relationship with the immortal female lead in order to avoid getting a headache. I'll worry about not understanding the plot at all when I've watched a couple more episodes.

Anyway, it's great aside from the plot confusion. The animation looked good; the action was fairly exciting; I want to know more about Kuromitsu, the hot immortal lady and the dark story is what I like to see in my anime. It was a bit odd how quickly the main two wanted to get it on without knowing anything about each other, but I'll just go with the flow and not try to be logical about sexual relations with mysterious women.
