I actually started watching anime *after* taking up Japanese lessons--it's usually the other way around, hehe.

Likes: dark fairytales, scifi fantasy and samurai stories, intelligent storylines, pretty artwork, strong female protagonists and the occasional cute shojo...

Fetish: silver-haired bishies looking pretty and cute girls beating the sh!t out of a$$holes.

Dislikes: Ecchi sh!t, (most) harem sh!t, mecha sh!t, moe sh!t, dumb joke sh!t and pretty much any sexist sh!t.

Masochism: I also watch sh!tty shows for no reason

Your Itazura na Kiss review was great~ I loved reading it. I completely agree with all the points mentioned. I couldn't even finish it, it was painful to watch. :/

Just read your Itazura na Kiss review. I don't think I've laughed so much. I agree with you 100% I hate this anime more than anything else I've seen. It made me so angry that I was about to give up on ALL SHOUJO EVER WRITTEN IN THE PAST AND IN THE FUTURE. The worst part was that it was one of the first shoujo animes I've seen, so I thought all shoujo was this shitty. Thank God I discovered some actual good mangas that redeemed shoujo (Kare Kano).

I find a little strange how you hate Itazura no Kiss so much for being sexist, (though I can understand why you would. the main guy is rather awful and it makes me ponder why so many male anime charactersin shoujo stories are given this aloof and abusive personality... Maybe some people think it's just 'normal' for men to act like that in relationships...? :'/), when you gave Hanasaku Iroha a high rating, despite the fact I remember distinctly in one of the earlier episodes a desperate porn writer ties up our young, underage, unwilling female character and tries to use her as a model for his ~sexy stories~ without asking her about it beforehand...
I mean, he wasn't good at tying her up, but that doesn't change the fact he still did it...
