| Even if it was just ~3mins of content + ~3mins for the preview OP+ED, I was laughing at some of the gags xD It's kinda like Nichijou, K-ON!, etc. People who went to the pre-airing event did say that the 1st episode was sorta introductory and the 2nd episode is at the K-ON! level of enjoyment. |

And I got the additional information that there will be more Lite Episodes coming before each TV episode is aired and it will be taken off when the new TV episode comes out. All these Lite Episodes will not be shown on TV. Since it is not uncommon to have additional anime extra packaged with BD/DVD, what KyoAni is doing seems to be airing those extras ahead of the actual anime broadcast instead of putting them in the BD/DVD. |

This is one of the biggest mysteries in anime fandom even in Japan. The same question pops up again and again (as well as false hopes). At the end no one knows. The stock is more than enough. The demand is clearly there -- it may have been hurt by the Endless Eight debacle but it was restored by the Disappearance movie. Why not grab the momentum provided by the success of the movie to go for another season? One plausible theory is the turmoil of the relationship between Aya Hirano, the seiyuu behind Haruhi, and her agency stopped any progress of the project, but I am not sure if it is really the whole reason (of course changing the seiyuu is one solution but fans in Japan are very sensitive to any change in the seiyuu cast, particularly the main characters).
