A common problem for people whose profession requires them to use their voices a lot. The surgery is a routine operation, so she should be fine in no time.

Well, this must mean the episode where pakunoda dies is already done-- or several months away. What I'm wondering is, do they really have 3 months worth of toriko's episodes? Curious...
Edit: Ah, that's true, the blog says three weeks.

NOOO!!!! T______T This is just too cruel! First Sayaka and now Romi. Who's going to be next? Nana Mizuki? Inoue Kikuko? Why must I be tortured like this? :(

Hope everything goes well Romi <3

EDIT:
Uh...hold on...

ANN said:

Voice actress Romi Park (Fullmetal Alchemist's Edward Elric, Bleach's Tōshirō Hitsugaya, NANA's Nana Osaki) reported from her hospital room on Wednesday that she is recuperating for about three weeks, after undergoing surgery for an unspecified number of polyps on her vocal cords. She cannot use her voice at all for several days, but she is doing her best to recover and return to work.

...Yeah...Same mistake as with Sayaka's post.
3 week break and she's done with the surgery.

Ussually teenagers soher voice fits them well. She's not high pitched enough for the more "girly" roles so that typically typecasts her as male teens.

It's a common problem for people who use and abuse their vocal chords, namely actors and singers. So yeah, it's a hazzard common to their profession.
