I figured since this place didn't have one, what the hell.

By "new" I mean something you've never heard before, so it can be from this year or it can be from 1982, as long as you've never listened to it. For me, I just got the new Rhymefest Mixtape, Man in the Mirror. "No Sunshine" is pretty cool, and the skits are hilarious. Each one has clips of MJ talking and Rhymefest responding to them. :D

Rhymefest: "Yo Mike, what you think if we were to just flip the floor up a little bit right now. What you think about that?"

MJ: "I wouldn't have a problem with elephants and giraffes and crocodiles and tigers and lions.."

Rhymefest: "...What? What are you talking about? Like, ain't nobody talking about no animals, homey. Like, you act like you crazy or something."

MJ: "You'd be amazed at how often I hear that."

lmao

I just got Substantial's album, Sacrificial Lambs (Prequel to Sacrifice). Been meaning to check dude out since I heard him on Nujabes with Think Different and Blessin It. Very good...the last track features snippets from the album Sacrifice and got me VERY hyped...gonna have to cop it soon.

Best tracks: Child's Play, What I Love, BBQ, My MZA My Man, Opium, Let Me Stay, Dr. Thinkinreim, The Starving Artist, and What U Want.

Got Substantial's Sacrifice now. Even better than Sacrificial Lambs. Gotta say...I wasn't expecting dude to be so funny. Listening to Think Different I thought he might be a little stuck up like some underground artists, but Intro to SL changed that real quick.

"I know some of ya'll listening were probably expecting me to say something funny...uhhh....I didn't really plan on it, but uhm...balls. I hope ya happy; Mom, I'm sorry."

"I'll Sleep When You're Dead" by El-P. His production is amazing, he's also a very skilled rapper if you ask me. "Tasmanian Pain Coaster" easily the best thing on the album.

Krayzie Bone - Smoke On This

Overall, it was mediocre. There were some tracks that stood out, but the Cheek Da Freek songs were horrible and a lot of songs reused beats of other hip hop songs.

I actually listened to V.I.C.'s new one. It's actually decent. Shwayze's new one is also a good summer album. I haven't listened to new rap albums aside from those in a while. Maybe because of my collection.

Modal Soul is brilliant. I hope Nujabes keeps making music until the end of time.

I actually haven't been getting that many new albums lately.

Last one I got I think was the And Justus For All remix from Little Brother. Total fire, but A Word From Our Sponsors is the best, followed up by Too Late For Us. Phonte did a lost love rap song...and made it work. That's genius.
