| So much of them flashbacks that you would have to be an idiot to not recognize who Kodaka's friend is. And preview is rather different from the other previews. But judging from the ample amounts of bouncing meat there, it's that part of the LN already. Rather early as they left out a lot of the club activities but works for me as I like that part. |

| This ep' was OK, though it seems karioke does little for me, as too many karioke ep's in anime don't amuse me. There's a block with me somewhere, singing competitions just don't amuse me if the individuals aren't exceptionally bad. As much as I like Kabota, I don't know how I'd feel if my little sister worked her way into my social group, conbined with the fact ha when not in your group, she's your full time responsability - where's the privacy and opportunity to become an individual? ^This isn't a character statement, just a general one on the subject. I'm actually interested in viewing Kodaka visiting Sena's family home; does he not realise that this may not be a wise move? Still, it diverts some attention onto him; which is a good move... I have watched too many harem's inwhich the male lead is lost amonust the general 'loudness' of the numerous girls - simply placed in a story in order to play the punching bag who squeakes out a few words per ep' and does little to gain admiration - the guys (two) and girls in this are ace, and the attention divided amungst them is fair. Looking forward to next week. |

Kodaka hangs out with them cause the rest school is full of racist Japanese who are deathly afraid of him. As for the "don't they consider club member friends" point. From what I understand of the situation the term for the type of situation the club members see themselves in is called "nakama", not "tomodachi". Both technically mean "friend" in Japanese. However, I would equate "nakama" to what you'd call an "acquaintance" in English. They have similar goals but they don't necessarily like each other all that much. I think she did it to get closer to Kodaka and rekindle their friendship from childhood. Maybe even turning it into a relationship Sena is tired of doormats and wanted to learn how to make real friends. She also begins to enjoy Kodaka's company and wants to get closer to him. Rika just joined the club in some warped hero worship complex and wants to fuck Kodaka until his blonde hair turns white. Maria joined the club because she's stupid and terrified of Yozora. Yukimura joined cause she/he wants to be like Kodaka. Kaboto joined cause she's lonely and loves her brother who she misses since he's away more often doing club stuff. Really the club is centered around Kodaka. He's the lynchpin that keeps them together. If he's not there the club doesn't even exist. So you really can't say your friends with other members if you only want one thing and that's Kadoka's affection. You'd probably see other club members as rivals not friends. As for not hearing Kaboto sing. Just listen to another Kana tune and pretend it's Kaboto Karaoke-ing it. here's a good one.. |

| Loved this episode. I didn't like the fact Yozora and Sena went to seperate rooms however. How hard can it be to split the bill? =/ Anyway it looks like both Yozora and Sena are starting to feel a bit more for Kodaka. Yozora knew him when he was a kid (although he doesn't know it) and Sena sees him as the guy that doesn't want to be treated like some sort of underling. Looking forward to more summer vacation shenanigans! |

| So...the purpose of the Neighbors' Club is to make friends outside the club. Aren't clubs used to establish camaraderie and eventual friendships with people with the same interests? This episode is OK though karaoke episodes are overdone imo. I sort of wished they would do something more creative outside of school. |

| yozora's starting to piss me off. sena doesnt really do anything to elicit the response she gets from her. also its impossible at this point to look at yukimura as a guy. and why didnt kobato get to sing??? :( i love how kodaka handles kobato. shes a crazy ass but hes just like, whatever. kobatos in my bed. nbd. kodaka is a really good main character for a harem-type like this. i usually end up hating the shit out of the male lead but at least he has a personality and a backbone. |

Her problem is she can't bring herself to admit it and she comes off looking like a lying fool. If Yozora keeps picking on her every time she does it. eventually she'll stop. So you could say Yozora is using behavior modification. The problem with Yozora is she doesn't know when to quit. Kodaka almost has to stop her from being overly maniacal toward Sena. I think it stems from her resentment of Sena joining the group when I truly think Yozora only wanted to be alone with Kodaka. The other thing is Sena doesn't have to take it. It's not like Yozora truly has power over her. Sena takes it cause she wants to be part of a group. She can tell Yozora to piss off and Yozora can't do anything about it. |

| Why is the payment method so weird? (Sorry I've never been to Karaoke before).. If it's count by per person, and not by per room, then all 6 of them should just order for 6 rooms, each one room, and then all gather at a room, leaving the other 5 rooms empty, but reserved.. |

| Before this show started airing, I was hoping for a few laughs nothing more, but it certainly exceeded my expectations. I like how the YozoraxKodaka past is slowly unfolding, the constant fighting between Yozora and Niku, Rika being open about her interest in Kodaka. I hope the songs will be available later on, I liked their voices. Looking forward to the next episode 5/5. |
