| So far it seems like a pretty interesting show. Has a little bit of everything with comedy, romance some mecha and the plot seems pretty cool. In a lot of shounen anime the protagonist is always the underdog sort of say. But I'm excited to see what the next episode brings!! |
| I liked the first episode, especially how it starts with a fighting scene. :D This anime has potential, just hope it doesn't mess up! I like the art, and the whole setting in a boarding school filled with all girls with the exception of one guy. Can't wait for the next episode! The quote that kept me cracking up was, "You started using a bra..." xD |
| I liked it for a first episode. I was kind of looking for a sci-fi type anime to watch and this seems like it will be a pretty fun show. The animation looks pretty good and the, I don't really care for harems that much but this looks like it will be kind of funny. Idk why the teacher with the glasses has her bra hanging out though looks a bit silly, other than that no complaints lol I will definitely bee looking forward to more of this though. |
| if you're looking for a deep storyline, something unique and fresh, with no harem and stereotypical girls (tsundere, ojou, etc) and you watched this? clearly you haven't done your research. don't set the bar too high. don't expect a code geass out of a show like this one. at the end you'll get dissapointed. I, for one, don't mind if it's generic. the OP was great (the first 5 seconds especially), characters designs and voice acting are likeable ( yes! Houki), battle scene was good, setting's interesting. overall it's fun time. I just hope they don't go too far for the fan service. overall I enjoyed the show. I wanted more at the end of the episode so that's a good indication that the formula worked for me. |
| This was way better than I thought it was going to be. I found it pretty funny. This type of comedy doesn't really get old to me, even though I've seen it so many times. |

| Quite an awesome first episode, I thought they would show what he did during his entrace exams that made it an international worldwide news. Would a boy ever think of getting into one of those suits after everyone said it can only be operated by girls? So maybe after him, there might be tons of males trying out the IS in hopes of moving it XD |

Monad said: Oh yes monad it's bad, real bad. I guess the only real solution is to just stop watching. Someone else mentioned the enormity of great titles from the past out there. Maybe it is time to send a message to the industry and stop watching and buying this homogenized, repossessed product. Of course if you look at the many positive responses to the series it speaks volumes. Basically it goes like this, if you haven't been watching anime for very long, this show could seem like sliced bread. However if you have the misfortune of being a fan for a while then there is just nothing here, move along and forget it existed. What and buy titles that speak to you. There is one thing that is for sure, the industry will eventually kill itself it continues in this loop. Lucky for us there are still few creative directors out there like Yuasa, Miyazaki.... The great directors continue to point out that it is the culture itself that is hurting the content of anime and in most interviews I've read or seen they continually site the fact that new creators need to stop watching and reading manga and start reading other sources for ideas. If you noticed the directors who incorporate intellect into their series are usually using allusions from other sources than Anime and manga. |

| Hmph, this wasn't completely insufferable like I thought it would be! The only bad thing that I have to say about it is that the character designs are kinda plain. Other than that, it's alright. I would have liked to see more action, being it's the first episode, but... meh. ^_- |

Same^ Fight was awesome, seemed like a mix between Code Geass and Strike Witches. I like how you can still see the pilot...+1 for that. The rest of the episode was very mediocre and generic. Felt like I was watching another hundred animes I've seen. I fell asleep watching it the first time, had to re-watch it later. The cast is decent, though very strewn with cliche characters. I'll probably give it another ep, but if it doesn't get any better, I'll definitely be dropping this one. I watched like 5 or 6 shows of the season, and this was by far the worst so far. | I fucking hate it when they give me a cool premise, and then don't do anything with it because it was just an overly complex excuse to minimize male characters or create ecchi or something. That being said I'll probably stick around because there was a tsundere kendo girl. God I'm such a tool. People are complaining because they haven't explained why the suit only accepts women, and why would people design a suit only for women? Seems like a kind of ridiculous complaint to me. It's obviously an unintentional design flaw, otherwise someone else would have just removed the piece that makes it reject men. People would be buying cracked IS's and it would be a moot point. I would hazard a guess that no one actually knows why only women can pilot them, the same way no one knows why the main character can. I honestly don't get where the idea that they were intentionally designed this way, or that there's a known reason for it came from. If either of those were true it would have been fixed. At the end of the day I was hoping for something like Ichiban no uishiro daimou. Lots of action, lots of women. Keep it high octane. Or something like Index. Action and plot, and an understanding that female characters are nice to look at. What I got was something else, but it was a somewhat enjoyable watch. I liked the girls talking in the background. That was a nice touch. Like I said, tsun kendo girl pleases me. I'll be honest, they lost a lot of interest when they said that the IS can only be used for sport and competition, but if they make up for it with the action scenes I'll probably forget pretty quickly that there will never be any great evil for them to combat, or anything like that. Seems like it'll be worth the watch. |

Pretty much sums up what I was going to say. I'd toss in painfully unfunny too. I did want to see the duel, if the fighting's cool and Masumi Itou delivers on an awesome OST (I think her work is usually a mixed bag) I could see sticking with it. |

| I don't usually like Mech Anime,but I enjoyed this. It's the type of anime you have to pause and take a break from watching for a few minutes. No not to do that. Gross. I'm talking about how action packed it is that you have to take a break from it. Also does that Kendo chick remind you of Shino from Seitokai Yakuindomo? |

| It was good imo. Tsunderes aren't pissing me off (Although Shinono might be going there). Pretty generic harem, but I'm fine with it since it has some nice graphics and the opening fight looked awesome. |

| Good first episode IMO, all the characters are likeable so far, with a few good humour moments. Looking forward to the battle next time! OP and ED were also both good |
