| According to The Sneaker Magazine, the tenth volume of Suzumiya Haruhi Series, "The Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya" will be released in two-volume set on May 25th 2011. Translated versions will also be published in thirteen countries on the same day. It was planned to be released within this year. The chief editor of The Sneaker apologized to the readers for the long delay. The previous volume "The Dissociation of Haruhi Suzumiya" was released in April 2007. "The Surprise..." was initially announced to be released on June 1st 2007, but postponed for an indefinite period in May 2007. The notice of the delay with Haruhi Suzumiya saying "Gomenne! | But you know, when it's all said and done, it makes me wonder. Why would Nagaru Tanigawa, the author, put off his most successful franchise and work on relatively lower grade manga? I mean it makes no sense. Just after the Disappaerance movie was a smash hit and the Blu-rays are selling like hot cakes, now would be the perfect time to release the novel(s). Releasing it 4 months from now is not really a good business decision, in my opinion. And what's with the two-volume set? Everything sounds a bit... off to me. If it's postponed again, I swear to god, then imma turn Haruhi on Nagaru :  Pfft...I'm re-reading the first 9 novels to refresh my memory. If you want 'em, check here |
