| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Great episode, very intense. I said 'Son of a Bitch!' out loud when Souma was drawing the king on his forehead towards Shion. At least he now knows it's different to play people in real life. It was quite obvious that Satoru was the one who played against Souma online and told him the 'spell' and now that Satoru's snatched the phone and called Shion (at least that what it looks like), I can't wait for episode 11.  <3333 |

| It's been a while since we have seen this about of Shion in the series, episode 10 was a nice, interesting match. If this is going to end in two episodes, then i'm not surprised at all in the sudden murder case appearing again, though i still don't see how they'd end the tournament in such a short amount of time. I truly hope this'll end up being 22 episodes, like the official site has stated. Once hot scene with Ayumi, though that was all. ;__; |
| The last two episodes where really intense, loved them. But one thing Im asking myself: Are there REALLY only 13 episodes? It seems to me like there will be more, maybe at least 16, because I dont know how they will put all the tournament and murder things together in just 2 episodes. But 13 or 26; I just love this anime! |

Looking at the DVD layout, this could be correct. |

| I don't know...there's just something peculiar about some of the other people in this anime...I just can't believe that Satoru is the culprit. They're making it too obvious. At the very least, he's got some allies that might surprise us later on. A very intense episode, and Shion's blushing at the beginning was so cute. Hoping for more than 12 episodes. |

I missed Ayumi *pouts* all he did was stomp off into the horizon =__= i hope he comes back next episode... pfff of course he will <3 Now that i think about it... Saori wasent in this ep... neither was Hani... ah well anyway nice episode, the ending was sooo creepy! >_< and ahh Shion blushing at the beginning was sooo cute!!! | Great episode. They finally advanced the murder mystery plot after mainly focusing on intense shougi matches recently. When this series started, I thought I wouldn't enjoy it much if there was too much shougi being shown. They definitely proved me wrong on that. | I couldn't believe there'd be only 12 episodes. After all, this is based on the manga so it's not like they don't have enough content for more. I hoped that if there are only 12 eps they'll just take a break and come back with a season 2. 22 episodes is better. 26 would have been even better. lol. This is my favorite Winter series. |

| I'm glad it'll have more than 12 episode, this serie is just too good! Another amazing episode, can't wait for more. I really want to see more about this murderer. And the art seems to have improved a bit, what is great! :D |
| Hmm, starting to like this quite a bit. Needs more Ayumi, lol. Shion's so cute though. And I was like "OMFG PLAYING DIRTY!!" when the Honma did that King thing, I didn't realize that only the murderer, Shion and the police would know about that (or was it about that on the forehead). I assume the murderer used Hisatani's phone to phone Shion, great, now he's suspected? I doubt Satoru is the murderer. Too obvious. This doesn't seem to be a show that would do that. It will probably be someone unexpected like... Hani-Meijin or something. LOL. |
| Finally got a chance to download and watch this episode and the wait was well wroth it! Not only have they finally made some headway towards the mystery, but the match of the chibi-titans was rather suspenseful! Though like many, I found Shion's opponent tactics rather deplorable, but he was more enthusiastic than I thought – I expected him to be more cold and serious. All in all, one of the better episodes and it's great to hear that they've extended the series by at least ten episodes! |

| This is a really good episode. That Honma-Kun's such a brat. But yay!! Shion won, such an intense episode. I wish they would extend it to 22 episode, such a good anime. |
| Stupid brat and trying to cheat his way to a win. Now he knows what it's like to play real shougil. I was leaning towards Satoru being the killer but my doubts grow the more I watch. I'm not ruling him out for being involved in some way though because one thing is for sure. In order to have stolen the cell phone the person would need access to the building and able to freely walk around without being suspected. That cuts down the number of suspects considerably. |

| i had my doubts when i first read the description on this anime. after 9 episodes, i am really into it now. i normally stay away from 'sports' based anime. this one is just fun to watch. |

| So that creepy guy got Shion's number from Hisatani's phone. I don't think he took it and it would be even stranger if Hisatani hasn't noticed his phone is missing. That kid didn't know what that magic spell was about but I was really glad Shion put him in his place. Cocky brat. |

| hahaha Shion is so sweet, she even made cookies to Ayumi's mom. That damn boy, that was such a low move! I know that he didn't know what the "king" meant to Shion, but even so... And the killer decided to call!!! |

| Another meh episode. I am starting to lose faith in this show. Why would the culprit come out and provoke Shion like that? Especially since he's been hiding himself very very well over the past 8 years. Shion hasn't been able to identify him at all thus far, and she hasn't shown sign of trying to do so yet. A meticulous killer would let his isp be tracked? Even if it's from a net cafe, there might be surveillance camera installed etc., and now it's a direct phone call? Meh. I don't like how the author ruins the boy's character too, I went from kinda liking him to finding him pretty meh. |

| The phone snatching scene make me suspect characters that appear in scene before that more than Satoru, like that young police officer. It is because it will be too convenience that character who were not there before just appear and snatched the phone like that. Satoru obviously has something to do with the case, the similar mysterious necklaces of him and Shion certainly have something to do with the plot, but it's still too early to suspect him as the killer if we only based on that. Honma did nothing wrong by the way, at least he is not as annoying I thought he would be. It also always bothering me when the detective say that the only people who know about the crime scene and the king piece are Shion and the culprit, surely there were also investigator of the crime scene at the time who know about that. |

| Using a shocking sentence to win against Shion, that kid really wanted to win no matter the way, but at least Shion still won against him... even though it's turning darker and darker, seems like the killer from 8 years ago is threatening her on phone. |

| I'm glad that kid lost, there are so many characters with shitty personalities in this show. Shion deserves a better supporting cast. Shion did nothing wrong. As we approach the halfway point, it looks like the mystery aspect is starting to swell once more. I'm not sure how or why the murderler contacted Shion, but it seems like a misstep. I doubt they'll be able to learn anything from the number that called her, but if he's going to take an active role, he's going to have a hard time getting around Shion's entourage. |

| That "king" gesture threw Shion off for a few minutes, but she recovered well enough. Now, however, it seems the killer is contacting Shion directly through the phone as a more effective means of psychological attack. Hopefully this won't impede her future matches too much. |
