Someone's going to turn into a fucking pin cushion . Really though, that guy with the light stand still has more tricks up his sleeve.

To hell with this brat! Nice kid though xD.

Good thing Polnareff figured out how the Hanged Man stand works.

Their fight with Hanged Man was very intense with the Stand appearing in the eye of that kid with Polnareff and Kakyoin being my favorite shot in the chapter. It's rather ironic that Kakyoin dismissed the existence of a mirror world because this isn't a comic book but it actually is and I like that.

He might've charged headfirst into danger earlier but he thought of a very clever way of way to predict Hanged Man's route accurately enough to slash him at the speed of light. J Geil's injured and his sister and Avdol will finally be avenged.

JoJo didn't buy the two ice creams for the kid in Singapore, I wonder if Polnareff will actually buy this kid some caramel.

Kakyoin refused to believe in the existence of a mirror world which made me wonder if one of the simplest assumptions is correct. That the Hanged Man is actually just an anti-vampire. Invisible outside of reflections, just like those ghosts in Luigi’s mansion you can only see in the mirrors! Along this train of thought, I had to humor the thought that the stand user was on the carriage behind their car, the one the kid presumably came from. However, I’m glad it didn’t go that route. Rather, after Kakyoin crashed their car, the second time he’s shown smarts in such a do or die moment and chose damage rather than death, the true nature was revealed. The dumb-at-times-but-thinker-when-it-counts Polnareff spotted the light reflecting off the different sources. There is in fact no mirror world, the likes of a reverse world with every reflection being a door. Rather, it simply jumps between surfaces.

As they fled and tore off any dangerous reflecting objects on their clothing and persons, the coolest trick of the Hanged Man occurred. An adorable little kid ran over to check on them and it jumped into their eye, chasing after our boys despite all of their defenses but this ended up being its demise. While Kakyoin showed his distaste for such cruel and underhanded methods, Polnareff didn’t let it get to him. He dropped the ‘cool line the protagonists give right before they almost die but are confident in their victory’. For his sister and Abdul’s honor, he will end this monster, with a quick slash into the air he preyed on the weakness of light. It may be fast and we may not be able to see it move, however it has but one line of movement it can take from one position to another; and in this case, after he kicked sand into the kids eyes, it only had one path remaining. Smart stuff brother!! For a moment, I had thought he was about to stab his own eye, isolating the Hanging Man in one location and severing that location, to either end its life there or force it out into their realm or something. Rather, he didn’t need to go that far. That’d be too much brutality on our heroes in one arc.

Now, Polnareff has a great reason to fight alongside the party after finishing off J. Geil. He owes his life to them! So go finish him off and take out Mr. Hol Horse while you’re at it! Also, I find it ironic that J. Geil isolated Polnareff to fight him alone while ultimately losing because he was lured alone too.

One of my favourite battle resolution segment: it's straight and simple in its exploitation of supernatural abilities and sciences, making it even easier to swallow in the midst of all those magical encounters.
Plus, Polnareff was very cool (aolthough not as much as my favourite, Hol Horse).

5/5
