Man, this shit was generic trash. Getting mixed vibes of Shippuuden and Fairy Tail from this. Funny episodes, where are you?

Can’t help but feel a little sorry for Itou, he was a good “villain” and died in a good way.

Did anyone understand why ito couldn't just become the heir or why his mom hated him so much? She says something like ito took everything from takahisa while he was in the womb, if he is the second child how is that possible? Even if ito wasn't born their first son would still be sick, he is a genius and would be the perfect successor. I don't get it.

It may be late answer and forget for my bad english, but it kind of old-fashioned traditional thinking of Asian family, which the first son is the most important in family, they have to be success and be the lead in the family, they will be the host in all ceremony of family and many thing else, so no matter if you are success or not, if you are not the first son, then you will be less priority.

Not to mention the daughters will even worse than Ito if in those type of family, because the way they think is when the child born, they will have the blood line of the father, not the mother, so the daughters can never born the heir for their own family, even my country have different way to call the parent of mother and parent of father like out of bloodline grandparent and in the bloodline grandparent, not sure if other Asian country have the same. this is really old thinking and nowaday it really rare but still have some family like that.

Not gonna lie, Itou's story hit home, could relate quite a bit with most parts of his story. Can't say I'm happy that they just went out of their way to save him though. Ah, Gin got hurt pretty bad, I guess we're gonna see him in bandages again hahah

This episode was Top-tier. Saving Ito was great. Nice that we got see his backstory and just seeing him in those moments where he said he wanted to change and he didn't want to go like this kind of made me feel for him. This arc is amazing. 1 more episode to go.

So it's a double betraying inside the Shinsengumi since their goal is to totally erase it, kinda felt bad for Itou to be honest with his backstory, we can understand why he would do that (even though he still did a lot of bad things that was can't really forgive) I wonder if he really died like that :S even lost an arm anyway I wouldn't be surprised, though Gintoki was absolutely epic during this episode!!

Ito is dead! And gintoki is getting serious now. This was easily the most intense episode of gintama for me. Amazing episode!
Ito's past was like naruto and he turned the path same as Obito. Backstory was good.

Takasugi is a great strategist, he has already planned most for the things to take over the country, and that string is powerful. Excited for the finale of the arc.

I'm not surprised that Kiheitai used Ito. Nice episode and backstory to Ito but it seems like he won't live. Gintoki is just too good.

Jumping into moving helicopter blades and chopping them off at the base is the stupidest thing I've seen in Gintama.

Gin is such a badass. His fight against Bansai was awesome and he was so cool when he ripped those strings! Hijikata was really cool too. And man, I didn't expect Itou to sacrifice himself like that.

It was a great backstory and a great conclusion of Itou. Both Kondo and Ito realized their failure as individuals.
