THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
The poem Miya recites in the "sealed chamber" is Sonnet 18 by Shakespeare.

Nanako seems to admire Miya a lot (although she also seems to be afraid of her), but I find I just hate her more and more.

The odd, kind of fantastical presentation really shines when Miya suddenly takes on the aspect of any of a number of kinds of water spirit who drag humans attracted by their beauty to watery deaths.

I wouldn't be surprised if the male shadow from Miya's flashback was actually Henmi.

Miya just try to drown Nanako on purpose. And it seems she is in love with Henmi, but I knew that when he came to her house the way she was acting when near him.

Miya leaving puddles of water on the ground after the night swim is also beautiful as hell.
You can always look to Miya for some decadent mysteries.
This ep feels very much like Saint Juste tower episode, or Miya boat trip episode. Wonderful wonderful atmosphere.

OK another wretched who wants to preserve the past, find eternity. Sound like someone somewhere??? Count me in!!
And what the hell is the deal btw Miya and Nanako?? Miya seems to detest everytime Nanako intrudes in her life, yet she goes out of her way to create wonderful opportunities for Nanako to peek into her???

Wonder how Nanako will process Miya trying to kill her; does she even recognize that 's what it was?

From episodes to here, I have felt more empathy for Miya Sama and lost sight of the possibility of her being the villain of the whole story. "I just wanted to swim with you," I think just like Saint Just considers Nanako as his beloved doll, Miya seems to feel something like that for Nanako, so affectionate and kind, who would not want a "doll" like her at his side?

Rip Minako's career as maid all because of one single 'timefrozen' room. Even though it was kinda creepy to see Miya in that lake scene at the end nearly drowning Nanako, I kind of found it funny how random that was and how innocent Nanako believed her 'I just wanted to swim with you'

That was a scary fucking episode.. I can't wait to see what turned Fukiko into what she is today, as from day 1 she's been intentionally shrouded by mystery and build-up. In fact, when I think about it, every other storyline is intrinsically interlinked with her.. not wrong to call everything else a "build-up to her"; in retrospect, I'd say that would be insulting to others though.

It is Nanako's "brother", isn't it?

With the way she treats her sister, remember when she "let" that needle thing fall on her hand? I'm not surprised she finally attempted something against Nanako, I'm just waiting for Nanako to stop trusting her so much.

Nanako is so naïve.
Almost drowned by Miya, yet she thinks "Miya wanted to have a swim with me."

Also Nanako listening to Mariko when she made a promise to Tomoko...

Okay, Miya is just crazy at this point.

Nanako wants to forget that this ever happened, but her life will be put in danger again if she says/does nothing. What will she do?

Wow! What a twisted episode! Poor Nanako, she can't catch a break from all these broken people around her.

I hope Nanako isn't actually this naive and will eventually connect the dots about the storage room and the swimming episode, especially with what she saw on how Miya treats Rei. She probably already suspects something but is reluctant to admit it...

So far I don't really see much advantages that Sorority membership brought her, it doesn't seem worth the fuss at all. The two most popular girls in school aren't even in Sorority, it literally means nothing. Just a way to feel superior for some, which Nanako never even wanted. In her place, I would just run and forget all this. The way Miya wants to control everything, including who Nanako writes letters to, is also a big red flag.
