| She definitely will have a hard time dealing with that player. Otowa is completely desperate, even attempted to betray her whole team at this stage. |

| First they introduce a terrifying girl, then Hiromi randomly meets her and witnesses her being terrifying, then the girl says Hiromi is either a good player or someone who would "flatter" the coach for a spot in the varsity team. Would it be so hard to pair that girl with someone other than Hiromi? Or at least not have the coach say "the pairings were chosen randomly and there is no way to change them" just before announcing the obvious plot development? That was bad. In fact, the only unequivocally bad thing about this series (excluding some of the animation, of course). |

| How ridiculous can this get, really. Pretty sure the manufacturer of these tennis balls must've gone bankrupt. Seriously, is it even possible to break a tennis ball ? Even if the answer is yes, it wouldn't explode like that. It looked, and even worse sounded, like breaking pottery. And the drama with the jealous girl is becoming old. |
| I don't see any problem with a fortuitous meeting with the incoming opponent. It sometimes help to avoid having the hero facing a characterless adversary. My only concern is if Hiromi happens to win: to beat a reputed competitor so soon is rather underwhelming for the 3/4 left of the show. 3/5 Lorezhno said: Hope they don't spend too much time on the matches, as they're rather hard to follow. I have also difficulties with this. Not only is the animation too limited to serve those scenes (weird for a normal length series like this, when you have other manga adaptations of the same years who were moving more competently), but even outside matches so much time is spent on tennis itself (rather than characters for example). I know the manga popularized/started the "hard work & guts" recipe sport shôjo but I am wondering if it was really so focused on the court. |

| Lol, Otowa is getting more and more pathetic :S Also rip Oka,not a snowballs chance in hell that she will win, otherwise it would be terrible writing. But at least I hope that she may have one or two good moments in that match and gain some experience. |

| Oka won in the semi-finals, but mainly due to the fact that she psyched out her opponent, but her coach knows that she'll eventually be able to win with her own ability. Otowa is evil, as she was willing to help her own school's team lose. Oka has been pitted against Midorikawa, who has the ability to apparently shatter tennis balls! How can Oka possibly hope to win? The coach really wants her to go against all odds to get better, it seems. |

| Otowa claiming her betrayal is for the whole team is some of the dumbest shit I've witnessed. Furthermore pairing off Hiromi and Midorikawa so early on. I kind of wanted to see how her and Ochofujin would handle the top player. Also like that last shot. Makes those dramatized moments POP. |

| The actual tennis itself is laughably bad. There's also no consistency with Oka's tennis abilities and the expectations of people around her, friend or foe. Factor in the hideously outdated artwork and animation, plus the melodrama going on, and we've got a pretty SHIT series so far. The only saving factor right now is that I'm unironically enjoying this as a comedy series. |
| Hiromi accidentally psyching out her opponent so much she kept making mistakes was pretty funny. Otowa getting more and more twisted is an intereting secondary story. She's much more interesting than many similar characters in other stories who are simply mean from the start. Frankly I feel sorry for her. |
