Damn Majestic Prince and Devil Survivor both had action packed episodes this week!

While it's nice visual porn, I'm not emotionally invested in the characters to care what's at stake. When Ronaldo, Otome, and the third guy bit the dust, it didn't really affect me as I think the show wanted. However, it seems Airi and Jungo are going to be utilized more now which is a plus since I really like their dynamic together. I can say though I wasn't expecting those 3 to die

The conversation between Alcor and Hibiki was pretty interesting. What Alcor said about Demons and Polaris I've seen in other Japanese media where Demons give humans the chance to fight back, show their worth. If they lose the world disappears! Seeing the disintegration of the world and any remnants of the area was a visual spectacle.

I felt exactly the same. This show ffailed at making us feel like we are living the story threw the characters eyes and i really don't think i'll feel anything even if the offed all the the mains next week.

At least we got some interesting information on what the hell is going on.

This is starting to seem like less of a story and more of a collection of ~SHOCKING EVENTS~ played for cheap drama.

Easily the most disappointing show of the season, imo.

That's hilarious coming from the person with the Persona 4 signature. That's literally all Persona 4, both the game and even more so in the anime, was. it was a collection of 1 dimensional and 2 dimensional characters with either no or incredibly forced character development. There was no real flow to the story just 'oh no, someone disappeared, let's have a bunch of contrived events while we try to save them from the TV world' over and over and over, with a very vague 'mystery story' going on. But it's not even a mystery story, because there aren't even things that are essential to those kind of stories in it, like I think there is all of one clue that the characters find. And that's after months of just BS. The story just has characters with 'wacky' personalities, and that's literally the only thing it has going for it outside of poorly implemented life sim component.

It also doesn't help that such a meh game has also spawned one of the most cancerous fanbases in the franchise.

The next two episodes are named
Does not give me confidence in the remaining crew surviving, especially Io (which makes me sad). However, with three whole episodes for the seventh day, it seems like they're going to either have an anime original ending or something like they devote two to the last day then do a reset, where the last episode shows the crew back in their happy lives and show some development in their character.

...or they could all explode.

The deaths seem like a cheap way of getting rid of supporting characters. I know Ronaldo is gotta die since his death flags are everywhere. But the other two should be kept alive IMO.

Once again, the ED is excellent mood setting though there are not many people left to fill the blank spaces XD

By the way, if people that didn't do the game wonder why Alcor talks about "the human that he raised";
(it's probably not a spoiler since they skipped it in the anime, and explains this goddamn raised which comes out of nowhere)
Hence the "raised", like a kid.

The show is becoming more enjoyable. I don't really care about the 3 that died, maybe besides Ronaldo.

Best Episode so far didn't care much about the deaths though... since none of the characters mean much to me. It's too bad actually the show had potential to be awesome but boring characters and villains makes it mediocre.

This episode was going well until they killed of characters senselessly. Seriously they died in the explosion AFTER the boss was killed. Why didn't something similar happen to the other groups? That was a shitty way to kill off characters................well what could you expect from the same scriptwriter who wrote the script for School Days. Rush the show, kill off characters senselessly to avoid developments and you get a nice trainwreck.

This is one of the worst adaptations i have seen.........DS2 deserves better. I demand a remake but saying that is pointless anyway!!!

Wtf damn it those three got wiped out just like that even though the septentrione got killed. At least Airi had some great moments I guess, summoned that powerful demon just in time.

Liked learning more about Alcor and the situation. And he is actually a really nice guy wow. Starting to like him a lot as well as Fumi tbh.

Pretty Intense episode!!!

There were so many great scenes here with Yamato being so dominant by himself with his summonings of Baal and Cerebus. Meanwhile Ronaldo and the others try to fight as hard as they can which they successfully do at the same time with Hibiki and Yamato but Ronaldo, Otome and Joe sacrificed for this action. Airi seems to remember her past memories of her father and the places that hold that are being destroyed to which she summons a powerful one named Lorelei to defeat the enemy. We get to learn more about Alcor and the 'Polaris' slightly more in detail. The world is slowly ending with the 'Void' happening and even Alcor seems to puzzled as to what needs to be done with everyone realizing that humanity is not going to be destroyed but rather having their existences to be erased which eliminates all evidence of humanity living in such a world.

Looking forward to the next episode!!

5/5

That's hilarious coming from the person with the Persona 4 signature. *insert P4 rant here*

wow calm down bby

The anime did a lot of things wrong, yes. But the cast in the game was anything but one-dimensional. Paying any amount of attention to the social link events will tell you that.

Now, I don't know what the DeSu 2 game is like, since I never played it, but the anime is, unfortunately, boring me.

The game is way better when it comes to characters...or well almost everything.

I loved the game (though gameplay is part of the reason) and im only watching this because i played it, otherwise i would've dropped it.

Yep, still 3 on 1 ep? lol that was kinda crude...I liked Otome and Joe lol not much for Ronaldo but still a shame they all died like that...

I can't accept that Daichi is just being used as comic relief...he was pretty badass in my team (not as much as Io or Fumi...but still decent enough to being left alone :S)

After Dubhe (the giant hovering ice cream cone), Merak (the giant flying alien bird ship), and Phecda (the giant floating rainbow crystal disk), we have Megrez, the three giant rolling spike balls.
We also have Alcor, the mysterious white-haired mankind saving Septentrion.

Daichi summons Heqet. Hinako summons Berserker. Yamato summons Baal. Airi summons Lorelei.

A god named Polaris is testing humanity with a trial that lasts seven days.
There's also something called the Void which destroys existence.

Noo, Ronaldo, Joe, and Otome died! The ED confirmed it.
The ED feels empty now.
I’m always searching for something, for someone. This feeling has possessed me I think, from that day… That day when the stars came falling.

Aw.. Not Joe and Otome, they were like my mains in the games, (excluding Alcor/Anguished One/Al Saiduq/Mono and the protagonist of course.)... At least this should mean that Makoto doesn't have a chance of dying, considering...

Although.. So far, this anime really hasn't seemed to care about the game's timeline.

1. The ending part to this episode is about the only interesting thing to happen in this show so far

2. But I still don't understand how Polaris protecting the 'Natural' order of the world means effectively erasing everything? Like seriously isn't that the complete opposite? If Humanity reached the top of the food chain as it were, without influence then surely that was the natural order at play. Though the dude with the stupid 360* eyebrows hints at effectively being god, or at least Humanity's creator, which would imply the possibility of humanity not having gained their place in the world naturally.

Anyway this show has bored me to tears up until the last few minutes of this episode. I don't expect my overall opinion to change on the show but I am at least hopeful that the remaining 5 episodes might not be quite as tiresome.

*This is all the opinion of someone who has never played the game

Don't really care for Ronaldo death but it's pretty sad for Otome who has a daughter but more importantly MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER SO FAR JOE.... ╥﹏╥
Alcor is a pretty good guy despite being a Septentrione, the Void wakes up despair seeing it actually erased everything from existence not even leaving destroyed land behind...
