| From what I've noticed so far, not really; it's more like a mystical fantasy. |

| The manga has none so unless the anime adds some, which is unlikely as the story is more focused on friendship, I'd say no. |

| The manga has very little romance (so far I think if the author is to add some romance it would be Tsukumo/Hirato and that there won't be Gareki/Nai since Nai is too young to be in love- or at least that's just my opinion), so the anime might probably be the same. Oh and as minescope mentioned above, unless they add some romance in the anime of course~ ( ` v ` ) |

| Like other people said, unless the anime adds something random there really isn't anything other than bromance, great friendships, and family like relationships. |

Gareki/Yogi is more...hinted than Gareki/Nai, Imo. But there are unrequited crushes: Iva and Jiki for Tsukumo and Eleska for Karoku. |

| 'Shoujo' does NOT equal 'Romance' Shoujo isn't even a genre, it's a categorization and simply means that the general audience is female. So Karneval is indeed a shoujo manga/anime but not a romance manga/anime, so there's no big scale romance going on :) |

(as much as i remember from reading manga long time ago) So yeah. Bromance, friendship, adventure. Nai is just clingy and liked by everyone though |

| BROMANCE <3 for life ~ bitches don't mess up with their blove *o* LOL XD that was for you who are so stupid. and now back to topic. This ISN'T blove or shounen ai. It's absolutely normal anime about hard life and hardships of those kids and their emotions their suffering and desire to be togther to support each other. If you see in holding hands or in boy's taking care of the boy, or speaking in caring manner some boys love, you need t go to doctor cause you are really sick :) why in anime where girls hold hands or almost kiss at schools, it's not yuri and everyone see this ahhh ''friendship'' or ''kawai'' but when boys just take care of each other and show some care cause of hardships in life that's already yaoi*.. really you have then really sick brain and you just don't want to admitt that you are obsessed with blove since you see it everywhere :) I pity all of you o sinners. and anime was Wonderful ! it's pity that they ended it in such short period and so many questions left.. but I really hope for 2nd season ! *o* |
