Woo! Proud of Kogoro in this episode. He solved it basically on his own with very little help from Conan. It seems he gets better when it is one of his friends involved.

Well Conan gave him a nudge but Kogoro still went and investigated and verified everything for himself. Kogoro did figure everything out except for the drawing. You got to give him some credit for this Satan.

Conan is many things but he knows better than to knock Kogoro out when the case is this personal.

Still I kind of wish that they did not solve this one and left it alone.

Conan always lets Kogorou solve the personal ones. It's always kind of stupid that he shows more intellect in those, he still needed Conan's help.

Anyways it was an average case, once again she could have gotten off of the murder charge if she wouldn't have confessed.

If I were Conan I would have let it go. I mean, a cheating husband (with your sister who has repeatedly stolen your boyfriends) and a murder exchange? That woman has been through enough. Don't send her to jail for turning the tables.

Yeah, I wish all the nice people in the world who happened to commit murder could be exempt from the law.

What a lovely and understanding community we have here.

Anyway this is the best case so far IMO.

LoL. Everyone should have the same treatment according to their actions.
Whether someone's a good or a bad person is totally a subjective matter.

Murder is murder after all, no matter how justified.

I'm proud of Kogoro, he can do it if he tries.

Not sure why people are saying they should've let her go since she pretty much already threatened her sister at her wedding. She already knew about the planned murder so she just used it as an excuse to finally get rid of her sister, the other two going to jail was just icing on the cake. She had all the evidence to tell the authorities and send them all to jail but that wouldn't have gotten rid of her sister forever.

Completely different from something like the stalker case where the authorities couldn't help the lady so she either had to kill him or get killed. That's one of the few where you can't actually blame the culprit since it was out of self-defense.

There was already proof in the drawing that she saw the culprit planting explosives, so she would still be charged with murder because of her knowledge of the bombing. She pushed her sister to the car knowing she would die, she basically pushed her to her death.

Huh, this was an original case. I'm quite impressed honestly considering the quality of the other original cases. It was pretty brutal and I guess I can live with that conclusion.

wow this was good, everyone has their own moral compass. i think it is in some terms justified *in my opinion* on what she did , but even so you won't be able to live peacefully if you did end up murdering somebody. Megumi wouldn't have lived long IMO because this case would follow her everywhere even if she did get away with it. a lot of victims irl say how even though they got their revenge, what happened lives with them forever and they still have to heal and that takes years. So murdering someone just makes more unnecessary problems and wouldn't really fix anything except for the first few seconds where you feel relief your abuser died. moving on.... this case was sad in a good way, and for it being a filler (im still surprised by that)?? 5 stars

Good ep with a rare occasion of Mouri coming to the conclusion himself! (with a few hints from conan..)
I was wondering if the fact the woman's parents' died 6 months ago would have anything to do with it. Bit disappointed to find out that was not the case..
