It sure starts to be a bit annoying to me. She finds the time to help in the shrine, but not to visit Sei-sama... that seems pretty dumb to me. Overall, it was a decent episode, but also rather annoying. |
| i rather liked the development with shimako, although i hated the other new character, touka i think, and hopefully she doesn't play a major role or it may ruin the 10/10 for me also, lolololol at the credits for the next episode, they were pretty hilarious |

It's only normal for her to help out int he shrine since you know, it's her home and all :p I'm almost five years late but just in case someone else watches and comments in this thread after me, let me just point it out. If you come here after watching the first season, you'll know that Sei and Shimako's relationship isn't exactly normal. They're not close at all nor clingy like SachikoxYumi and ReixYoshino because Sei (and probably Shimako) doesn't want to depend on each other too much. The scene in the previous episode where Sei was feeding Goronta perfectly describes Sei and Shimako's relationship: a stray cat can't survive in the wild if it becomes too dependent on people's help. To which Sei replied that the cat is still weak so it's fine to care for it. Sei doesn't always interact with Shimako but when Shima needs her the most, she's always there :) So in a way, Sei was just toughening up Shimako and Shimako understands this well that's why she opts not to meet Sei. |

| Agree, Shimako and Sei never really had any close interactions. Never heard Sei call her Shima or anything else. I also think she followed Sachiko's advice in not spoiling Yumi but in this case Shimako. Sei could have spoiled Shimako but she didn't as she wanted her to grow up strong not dependant. Sei even said if Shimako needs help she comes to Sei. I see a strong Shimako who is doing fine without Sei. Speaking of Sei, Short hair Sei aka Rei 2.0 xD That Toko girl is annoying. Only Sei and Yoko can do the back hugging. This girl just does it to make people mad. Btw, rap previews lol |

Ah, ok, Noriko's interests more lays in buddhism sphere.. I like Noriko and Shimako together a lot already.. I hope they'll become close.. |
