| Mini-ponytail means this episode was from the timeline somewhere in the beginning, Yuno and Miyako didn't know the landlord yet. Just keep a little bit track of the surroundings of each episode to know where it fits in the timeline, I like that XD and "onee-chan, can I come over and watch you drawing?" << you can never deny a request from a moeblob xD |

| oooh thanks for clearing that up talon, i definitely was wondering why they didn't know the landlady when i clearly remember all four of them talking to her in the previous season. but i gotta remember this show likes to skip around :] |

| The mailboxes is also a relatively simple way of keeping track of the time. If they aren't multicolor, it's taking place before first season. |
| I keep track using whether the Hidamari sign is the special one they created during the first season, or the plain brown one. |

The best way to make simple looking artwork look great is to make them clear and 'detailed' ...imo. But then again since SHAFT is doing it, its also becoming painfully obvious how similar SZS really is to Hidemari. Not as many oneshots as episode one, it was actually pefectly paced this time around, hopes the series stays like this. God an Hiro looks so damn huggable when she was holding those bags of snacks. But Hiro x Sae are one of the best comedy pairs in anime thats for sure :) Btw, does anyone open bags of chips like they do in anime? i've been doing it since lucky star it makes more sense considering you dont crush the chips. Thems asians is smurt. Oh and thats the irst time i've seen BUGLE CHIPS in an anime >_< and i did the exact same thing when i was a kid... Making Freddy Kreuger fingers out of them. Mad Props to the music director making the "happy-folk" style hummings throughout every episode, it fits the easy going theme very well. EDIT: I forgot to stick my favorite scene: |

They don't place the year in the dates at the beginning of each episode. Episode 2 was placed late because they talked about how it's been a year since they moved in and the coloured signs are there. It takes place Ferbuary 6th. Episode 3 is May 27th but the signs aren't there even though the date is later and they don't know the landlady. |

| Finally is the word for Yunocchi screen time. So far in this series the cute stuff is GREAT! WTH is up with the fan service though? Most people say the first one had none or almost nothing but then this one is more explicit it seems. Hmmmmm, I don't understand other than the ecchi classification but I think the whole art concept is good. I did like the scenery of the shrine and when the guy gave his place cuz they seemed way to nervous in people's eyes so in other words the guy felt bad bu then again he seemed shy. The priest reminded me of Ikku from Amenaido. Though is it strange that this episode is Mai yet the other one is March which would mean that it's going into the past. |

| Did anyone do a 16:9 release from episode 3 up, or am I not looking hard enough. I'd like to know before I start watching. ...actually, is there an actual 16:9 set of the first and second season? I only found the first 2 episodes of the first season in 4:3, with the rest being 16:9. And i only have the first 2 episodes of x365 in 16:9. |
| The time jumps can get a little confusing, but I don't mind too much. Never a dull moment at the dinner table of Hidamari. ^^ |

I nearly dropped the first season it was one of the laziest animation ive ever seen in an anime..no real backgrounds, overuse of simple characters, characters do nothing but talk around the table and also the frequently replace objects with real life versions..its like they too lazy to draw it and just insert a photo! So far this is pretty funny tho, and first episode animation was epic but its back to lazy animation i guess |

It's not like all the animators decided to go play with kittens or anything, it's just that they're understaffed and can't afford all that fancy smooth and detailed animation. Unlike other studios where either the quality goes to shit or all of a sudden there are a lot more flashbacks and recycled scenes when they run out of money, shaft seems to rely on weird gimmicks and dialogue-heavy scenes. It's almost like they use low budget as an excuse to be creative :) |
