"Sometimes the most courageous act is to do nothing at all, even if it feels humbling." - Keaton

Awesome episode. There were a few moments I thought were kinda silly, like the old Colonel's speech about mercenary ideals. Most everything was good though. I loved the way the old guy trapped the revolver. It's only drawings, but you could still see the gears turning in the Russian dude's head, realizing he was totally screwed

Really solid ep, though it seemed a bit too fast paced at first.
"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

Cute episode. Everyone loves it when a character's goofy demeanour belies their competency.

Yeah that kid had that ass kicking coming. It's not about being a coward, it's about not being stupid.

Foster seems awfully fat and awfully much of a boozer to be such a badass, but I suppose he didn't perform any amazing feats, physically, and he lost the gunfight to boot so I shouldn't complain. The moral of the story doesn't make all that much sense, though. Foster and Keaton didn't do nothing, per se, they did nothing at a particular moment biding their time for an advantage to arise so this "brave coward" thing doesn't wash. It was like samurari movie with a more gung-ho notion of courage. Foster's boozy badassery was reminiscent of samurai movie, too. Comments in previous threads that this series doesn't make the effort to sell its European settings are ringing true.

Not a huge fan of the show so far, but this was a really good one. Reminds me of Key Largo, just a solid premise executed well.
