| That part where the five girls sing Equal Romance might've been my favorite out of my entire series. Loved that song and was always sad that it was the ED only for five episodes, so seeing it in the spotlight like this was a great surprise! sidenote: idk if her hairstyle changed or something, but Ukyo was so pretty in this episode! |

| I thought this OVA was gonna be about Kasumi but Ig it's always too much to ask for more Kasumi and Nabiki. Kasumi is stacked af. I like that the photo is from Movie 2. Canonicity means fuck-all in episodic shows like these but it's still cool to see. I loved the insert song sung by 5 seiyuus. It was cool that it even had an English dubbed version. Too bad Ucchan got left out in both versions. TwT Speaking of Ucchan, she was gorgeous in this episode. Really good special. Anything without Happosai is top-tier, glad he didn't mess with the cast. Next episode's gonna be about Ranma's mom again which surprised me. You know what that means, more fem-Ranma. |
| Decent Christmas episode with everyone gathering in one room to celebrate it. The last scene with Ranma and Akane is a good development. The Christmas episode in the main TV series where Ranma trying to find all gifts for Akane is still alot better than this one though. |

| Very nice timing that I decided to start these OVAs around Christmas with this one being a Christmas episode, I love when I can manage that sometimes lol. And it was a very delightful one, yeah it had more of the usual harem fighting over Ranma antics but it was still filled with many great moments, the babes (minus Ukyo sadly) singing Equal Romance really took me by surprise, can’t believe that ED was only used for a handful of episodes, it was placed wonderfully here. It was also nice seeing so many returning characters, many of them were just in the background but it was still cool to see the massive amount of side characters in one room, Urusei Yatsura has done it before too. And as an Ukyo simp, I really appreciated her look for this episode, the sweater plus ponytail combo is too powerful, if Ranma had more than one brain cell he’d be putting a ring on her lol. And it’s unfortunate Kasumi didn’t have as big a role in this episode as the beginning made it appear, she really deserved more man, but as always I’ll take what I can get. And the episode did end on a great Ranma x Akane moment, about as sweet as you could get between them, can’t ask for much more than that, and I liked that the picture was from the 2nd movie, damn everyone looked so good in that movie, they chose wisely with that shot. And the very last scene of the episode actually reminded me of the ending of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”, probably my favorite Christmas movie, where no matter how much insanity occurs during the holidays, everyone gathers around outside to enjoy the beautiful Christmas miracle in the sky, a very nice way to end the episode too. |
| What happens when Ranma 1/2 celebrates Christmas? Well, with a large number of folks who aren't good at going about getting what they want...hijinks ensue! Ryoga's vandalizing the neighborhood yards looking for the convenience store, Nabiki is using her shrewd business skills to con money out of everyone, and Kodachi, Shampoo, and Ukyo are tripping over each other's feet trying to get Ranma's attention. We even got the female cast singing one of the ending songs on stage with all the characters in the audience. Not to mention, we got a cute present exchange from our leads. When the most wholesome character in the show, Kasumi, can get the gift of Christmas spirit, all the antics are worthwhile. |
