I see now why Blame! is compared to Texhnolyze, the entire chapter barely had any dialogue. Thankfully, I like Texhnolyze.

Was recommended this by a couple of people I respect. So far it looks pretty interesting although the lack of dialogue is a tad unsettling. Reminds me of the dark parts of Ergo Proxy.

LOL I honestly didn't know what the fuck was going on until the last few pages when he killed the thing, at first all I saw is explosions and guns.

This first chapter confused me, I wasn't sure what was happening, it's probably due to the lack of dialogue, but I'm interested in seeing where this'll go.

It's the weirdest first chapter I've seen. I'm not even sure I want to continue this.
I wouldn't compare it with Texhnolyze though

glad it wasn't just me...the lack of dialogue made me spend quite a bit of time starring at the pannels trying to make up wtf is going on

Probably one of the most intriguing first chapters I've read in a while. This was a bit hard to follow at first but I got the gist to what was going on for the most part after reading it a couple more times...the only bit that still has me confused is how that last cyborg was killed.

I'm curious to what was that bug like thing that the MC used to his advantage during the fight.

No idea what was happening there. Seems like a manga you have to look very closely at, every panel.
I went through it at usual reading pace, and felt a bit confused.

It's interesting reading this manga for the first time considering I have read all of Tsutomi Nihei's later work. His artwork is much less defined in this manga, and the story is as confusing as ever. There is something about the aesthetic that I love and keeps me coming back to his work.

In some panels the character's body is not distinguishable from the background.

Summary:

The little one has the net terminal genes they're looking for.
They get it.
Killy pilots a machine to get it back.
They take the machine down and fight killy, being destroyed in the process.
Killy gets it back.

And still, Bill will live on.
He will befriend the next inhabitants of the earth, beings of light who revere him as a god.
And Bill will outlive them all... for millions and millions of years...exploring, learning, living,
until the earth is swallowed beneath his feet.
Until the sun is long since gone.
Until time loses all meaning and the moment comes that he knows only the positions of the stars
and sees them whether his eyes are closed or open.
Until he forgets his name and the place where he'd once come from.
He lives and he lives until all of the lights go out.

I'm gonna be honest, the fight scenes are not well drawn because they are very confusing but I hope that'll improve in next chapters and not to say I'm deeply mesmerized by the world..

I have some questions, about almost everything, but I think I love it already the way it creates the atmosphere. Goodness me, the art, attention to details in creating that setting is so beautiful.

I got the Texhnolyze vibe too, which I absolutely love.

I respect the lack of dialogue as it gives the chapter a heavy atmosphere, making the reader spend longer time on the pages trying to understand what is happening. But I love the chaotic art style it really gives a feeling to the type of world they’re living in, where do the endless tunnels go? What is hiding in the dark corners of the pages? It really picks at your brain.

Ngl this was so weird and confusing to me lol.

All I understood was the protagonist lost his companion and saves him/her from the humanoid goons. He killed one of 'em I guess?

The art is a bit confusing. So the fight scenes are also a bit complicated to make out. Lets see where this is heading.

The art and ambience of the manga feels unique and unlike anything i've ever read but a lot is left unsaid and i feel it would be for the rest of the runtime of manga from the reviews i read around the internet till now.

I wonder if Texhnolyze took inspiration from this manga. I swear, it's uncanny how similar they are so far. The art and atmosphere feels dream-like, the architecture is inconsistent (not in a bad way), and there's no spoonfed information. Decent so far, the author really makes the most out of the fact that it's in a visual medium
man.
