kinda interesting story. Reminds me somewhat of the detective and kircheis arc from the first prequel OVA gaiden.
Jessica and jean flashback was OK...I guess they didnt show it cuz the story wasalready done in overture to the new war (I think)
2nd battle of Tiamat next

I'm enjoying this...

These episodes are awesome. I'm enjoying this gaiden more than the first one.

The part with his wife was pretty sad . . .

Anyways, not that I hate the detective work, but I would prefer to see the battles and whatnot, although since this is focusing around Yang instead of Reinhard, I guess it makes sense that it isn't so focused around battles since it isn't like Yang is jumping at any chance to be a part of one.

Far too exposition heavy. Needs to show more and tell less.

An informative episode again, quite nice backstory though! Let's see what's next.

Nice flashback with Jessica Edwards there. A bit too much talking from Rosas and Wenli though.

The granddaughter s one of the finer looking girls I've seen in LOGH.

So far, I just get history lesson and long dialogues as long as I watch this gaiden. I enjoyed it and Yang is awesome as usual (aside from his VA), but it can be tiresome if they still keeping this kind of direction. Hope it's gets better.

In a way Yang's side story is more interesting but there's also too much talking and too little everything else

"I like young-girl sexual creations, Lolicon is just one hobby of my many hobbies," he says.
I ask what his wife, standing nearby, thinks of his "hobby".
"She probably thinks no problem," he replies. "Because she loves young boys sexually interacting with each other."

Well, this makes 4 episodes in row I'd score 6/10 (i.e. "fine" but far from "good"). I get that Yang didn't have the active backstory that his counterparts (Reinhard & Kircheis) had, and that those two will have some content here too eventually, even so, was 28 episodes really wise for a Yang backstory? It already feels like they're tapping extraneous material to help fill in episodes with. This is going to become a real drag **cough** Aria the Natural **cough** if it doesn't become a bit more active.

Kircheis's detective episodes in Billions at least showed off his abilities somewhat. So far from Yang it's just mostly been 3 episodes of nodding and sipping tea (and the El Facil episode wasn't exactly a showcase but at least it was something).

On the plus side, I've gotten used to the "new" Yang va. I thought he was pretty wooden in the brief appearances in Billions, he seems a lot more believable now given the extra screen time here.

Damn, that was a ton of leaves falling outside the window while Rosas was talking.

Very interesting episode , Yang really is a fitting person to collect all this knowledge of the past

Ashtley appears to be Reinhard of his times based on that ambition and ability to back up the talk with accomplishments, really cool character

as this episode went, i felt that alfred version of ashbei was much more rich than what we were told previous episode.

i'm still not sure though what yang gonna take from all of this, but if the next episode (i'm not watching previews of course) gonna be about ahsbe's last war, that's gonna be interesting. finally to hear the details of what truly happened.

was nice to see jesseca, it's been a long time since seeing her . . .
