| Ulmandra and Genome have a bit of rivalry yikes Speaking of Genome, she seems to trust Uchimura to be a leader. I agree with her in that he does have the charisma and skills to do. Ulmandra had a rough fight this episode and it seems we've got to see what she's truly capable of. She was trying to prove herself but damn, she overextended. She's probably just knocked out. |

| A house divided can not stand! Can't stop the calamity if Demons and Demi-Humans can't even stop fighting them amongst themselves. Good on uchimura for recognizing this and bringing Gnome and Ulmandra together for Operation Sword and Shield. Gnome is a really fun character, but I know Ulmandra gotta be mad as hell to have another girl around Uchimura lmao Ulmandra bath scene I won!!! then the end of that episode came and I am NOT feeling so good. Please be ok! Maybe seeing Ulmandra hurt will make Uchimura realize how he feels about her?(doubt) but we can hope! I also find it interesting how they call Uchimura a hero now. |

| This show is excels at drawing the audience in and then ending the episode on the most crucial moment. Hahahahaha! 😌🤣 Brilliant! It is amazing how he became the hero and is really working to fix their lives, which has gained him a reputation and respect among multiple races. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |
| i can see why Uchimura doesn't get the wyvern invasion/migration. he is too used to human management not wildlife management. he needs to find out from some old fart somewheres that has lived for decades (perhaps centuries) and has observed the changes in landscape, feeding grounds, nesting locations, food requirements, water sources, migration routes along with their timing, and everything there is to know about wyverns. there has to be some group of folks with this knowledge base, maybe hunters who have specialized in wyverns for generations? |

| Yes, the order of the story arcs did play a role, although there is hope that episode 12 will end with the end of the previous arc to leave to be continued. |
| it makes sense that Uchimura become the leader since he was the neutral being out of everyone at the fort, and Gnome knew it from the start that he'd do well to lead everyone in battle & figure out how to sort out the in-fighting between the two factions. but i hope Ulamandra is okay; she might be out of commission for a while for overtaxing herself during that fight, but she'll be fine, right? |

| Another great episode. One thing I notice is that this episode seems a lowkey attack on the concept of multiculturalism, and anime tourists, if they were watching this, would probably cry that it's segregationism. Regardless, the concept of division of labour as well as specialisation is a key fact of life. Uchimura sees both their strengths and weaknesses so he assigns their respective tasks that will maximise their strengths. |

| This seems to be a backstory episode to explain where they got all those wyvern meat/steak. 9/10 on the fanservice. They drew her swimming in her pants Booo! That's what the fog of censorship and ray of light is for. |

| The calamity involving a horde of wyverns, and it's a big one if all 4 Elite Generals have to be stationed on guard. The Demon Fort a.k.a Citadel of Despair is where the wyvern attack plays hosts to, and both demons and demi-humans must get along despite their differences facing against a common enemy. Uchimura can only do so much for recovery work, and has to play the strategist in order to not let both factions go against each other. Scouraging the map, sees an abandoned village where Uchimura can put his plan into motion...into playing the Hero figure for the factions. Despite initial worries, Gnome sure made Uchimura look the part to ally both demons and demi-humans together with his Operation: Sword and Shield plan to keep the factions at where they can perform best. Add in the abandoned village as a base of operations, and the Demon Army can get a rest for the low moments when the wyverns aren't attacking. But as Uchimura surmises, his plan has a chance of failure, and with the realization of fortresses being lost, so does Ulmandra getting knocked out fighting the dragons alone. Other than Ulmandra's sweet fanservice, this is not looking good at all... |
