Eh, I'm not sure I like the protagonist Liam. He doesn't have any noticable look and even Raymond has more presence than him.

Magic is noticable in this show so I expect this anime to explore much more on that. But hey, Liam gets the chance to explore magic so this ambitions came true. The source material is pretty long so I only expect this show to adapt the fundamentals. I'm just hoping this anime has least some creative usage of magic.

Out of all authors, Taiwanese author Nazuna Miki has got to be one of the most blatant making sure that he can pump as much material as he can, no matter how good or bad (which most of his works are) it is.

Sorry to say, if Summer 2023's Level 1 dakedo Unique Skill de Saikyou desu a.k.a My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1, is bad enough, I don't doubt that this show will be more of the same, but I digress for the 2nd anime adaptation of his works here.

saji's OP is just every bit as decent, if not average.

The red-haired 12-year-old Liam Hamilton, seemingly reincarnated and looking a lot like Classroom of the Elite's Kiyotaka Ayanokoji (if he was young), and to find himself being the 5th son of a duke in the family's party of a (finally) daughter's birth, that is easily the biggest shock of his life being someone who's a lot different before then (that's actually and not a reincarnation or so). And with the demotions starting from the 4th son down unless they can contribute to the kingdom, his older brother of Bruno is worried being next in the line, but Liam isn't, only wanting to focus on magic, and already having a strong affinity just by learning from a single month's practice of reading grimoires.

The unkempt man of Raymond teaching Liam to utilize his magic further being a magic user with as much of the elements he can muster, and him seeing Liam as someone with potential to give him a ring of endless spells, plus the magicpedia book that allows more of the ring to envelop more spells, he is ready for the world outside. Meanwhile, Bruno getting married to a commoner family with more freedom, plus the family blunder desperate of his father and the oldest of Albrevich to retain their noble status, I think that both of them would do well diminishing their family name to make a name of their very own.

This is A LOT to take in, and not the particularly good kind of infodump that's bits here and there. Definitely can see this going bland.

So we had the 8th son and the 7th prince, now we have the 5th son. Wonder what number will be next.

This anime seemed to me like that one where the guy is reincarnated into a family as the 8th son and kills a dragon

A typical fantasy adventurer vibe start of an anime. Which ain't bad, just repetitive. Curious to see what our MC would be up to in the upcoming episodes.

Is this an isekai reincarnation or just a reincarnation fantasy? He created instant noodles but it doesn't seem to be from his memory but from an idea so prolly the latter. Anyway the usual fantasy reincarnation premise. Kind of like "the 8th son are you kidding me?" The only thing that piqued my curiosity is that why prime number spells can be cast at once, what's the reason. Other than that nothing notable. Weird use of the summon/contract spell though. Anyway this has a lot of cute girls, potential harem, hope they start popping up asap. Also hope to see the sensei again.

Truly a shitty isekai we got ourselves here, but i can't say i wasn't expect as much. Liam seems quite standard, pretty overpowered not a bad guy but nothing special personality wise either. The story seems to be going pretty quick here in the beginning i must say, maybe a bit rushed at times. The setting is nothing special either. However all that said, this is exactly what i've been expecting and looking forward too. It won't change my life, but man do i keep finding these shitty isekais to be just enjoyable junk food for my brain.

It's amazing how little everyone reacts to Liam, he suddenly got a super rare power that he mastered in a pace previously unheard of? "Cool, i'll like buy you a book i guess."

This reminds me so much of 8th son wow. I love that in this world the nobles actually have to do shit to maintain their status or they’re relegated to commoners. I hate seeing fat and lazy nobles in fantasy shows. There’s some potential in this world with Liam bringing modern conveniences to this world, seems like a mix of 80,000 gold, 8th son and a bit of am I actually the strongest with how he’s able to summon illusions of himself. 2nd episode will show more about the quality of the story itself hopefully.

It’s reincarnation. He was an office worker in the same world

@Marinate1016 Well, at least he decided to make his own way in the World. Looks like your typical Fantasy/Adventure Series with Harem thrown in. Not the worst, but far from the best.

For a show all about learning and mastering magic, I was kinda disappointed with how fast the episode skipped through Liam learning the basic spells. I feel like its rushing the exposition in order to get somewhere fast, but I was still bummed because of the title's reference to actually learning magic. I hope to see more creative spells! And I like the master guy, hopefully he becomes a reoccuring character.

That was a...surprisingly decent first episode. Liam is smart and thinks quick. I like that. It's generic ofc but it's entertaining imo.
He didn't become OP right off the bat but trained but it felt kinda rushed. No problem here though.

wait....isn't this LITERALLY just that 5th son anime??? Guy isekais into a lower noble family, gains consciousness in the middle of the party, has a shitty eldest brother worried about inheritance, finds out he's really adept at learning magic, secretly meets a strange man in the forested area that teaches him magic, becomes an adventurer and is quickly elevated rank...???

This show looks promising! I'm especially enjoying the magic system, and how Liam likes to play around and experiment with it to figure out new things!

This was mostly average, but I have to give credit where it's due: the idea of summoning himself to act as a separate agent was fairly original (most cloning techniques in anime are extremely short duration and focused on the user's location). Maybe this show will be not terrible.

of course the older brother put a stop on Liam selling the items he made on their lands; he's jealous that his youngest bro achieved what he couldn't. oh well, Liam is still making some profit so it's not much of a loss for him. but who is that mysterious man that gave Liam that ring?

wonder if his family will remain a meaningful roadblock he had to continue dealing with, or if he's just gonna cut ties and go fully independent

guess it's time for episode 2 to maybe find out

I was apprehensive at the start because the character designs seem generic and comparable to the Loner Life isekai last season. But once Liam learns magic, I started loving it.

Only downside is when Deen rears its ugly head to save on the animation budget.

@Marinate1016 You know because that was writen in the blurb. Too bad they did not tell us that in this episode, or perhaps a flashback about it will happen later.

The settings and the beginning of this show are not the most original ever (isekai/fantasy, reborn as the youngest son of a noble, learning magic and being good at it, jealousy from one of the older siblings, making japanese junk food in another world, noble father is an idiot...) and moreover this episode was quite slow for sure.

Now then, this show fortunately has a couple of interesting twists: learning to cast several magic spells at once with the help of a mysterious stranger (I imagine it will be an interesting moment when they cross paths with each other again) and creating a double of yourself to make some money haha.
I'm also looking forward to meeting the female cast (as apparently most of the cast will be women we haven't met yet) and seeing what they bring to the show.

I advise everyone to pay attention to the music(Okehazama Arisa)(Kusuriya no Hitorigoto - Jujutsu Kaisen), it's just great, everything else is very bad, there are no cause-and-effect relationships between events.

Just when I thought ramen exists in some fantasy medieval European-ish land is already absurd enough, Liam invents instant ramen. Bruh.

Why is this generic euro-fantasy setting using chopsticks? Why is there ramen? Who came up with the setting?

You can't even have a drink without waking up and being some kid named Lewis Hamilton... Liam Hamilton, my bad.

It reminds me a lot of 7th Prince, which makes sense because this is essentially the same show.
