Well, there were a lot of Mandarin in this episode.
Gladfully, Keke will not go to a college in Beijing, that place is not for her, tbh.
Considering that it was Keke who pushed Kanon to sing in the first season, then it's time for Kanon to push Keke. yeah fair enough. But, tbf, Sumire noticed something about Keke but she did almost nothing about it. This was one of the major flaws of this episode

My favorite episode so far. Keke episodes are simply the best.

She needs a hug. <3 I'm glad she decided to stay.

Very beautiful performance. It was great to see all the 11 girls together on stage.

Kanon's Latte Art segment was funny.

Margarete eating to her heart's content.

Beautiful performance. And the first will all 11. Even if was Chii-chan doing an ambush.

The father of a MC making a full model appearance. I can't remember happening before.

What a dissapoiment.

Sumire did almost nothing here instead that Kanon saves the group even if she's for now not part of this.

Keke and Sumire has best chemistry in the series and it would have been a great counterpoint to the second season and a summary of the deep friendship that had developed between them over the course of the series, and instead Sumire was treated like she didn't care.

Instead Kanon was the one who saved her and maybe it's show of a gratitude after all because it was Keke who brought her back her love for singing, but it came out so bland to me

at least this time keke's problem has been resolved and I hope it won't be prolonged. from the beginning kanon was the reason keke decided to become a school idol, so it's natural that kanon tried hard to save keke. at least kanon contributed greatly in this episode.

next I hope the competition between TomaKanoTe and Liella can be more intense. I'm curious who will win but it's better not to end up becoming joint champions or something, I hope it's not like that. It seems they won't meet on the Love Live stage, Maybe they will compete for the votes of Yuigaoka students to determine who will be chosen as a representative on the Love Live stage.

Many seem to support Liella but not me, I hope the winner is TomaKanoTe because if not Margarette's efforts to defeat Liella will be in vain. so is kanon who until now is still unclear what she is really thinking. Kanon wants to help Margarette defeat Liella or Kanon ends up just wanting to persuade Margarette and Tomari to join Liella. hopefully not the latter. since hearing the song "Bubble Rise" I knew TomaKanoTe had a great chance to beat Liella.

Good Luck TomaKanoTe ❤️❤️❤️

AHHHHH THE GIRLS ARE GIRLING!!! YES YES YES YES, this was perfection. The new full Liella is finally here and they saved the best performance and episode of the season for this. Zero complaints, this is the best love live has ever looked. Thank you to the staff and everyone involved!

I liked Keke a lot coming into this, but this gave me a totally new appreciation for her as a character. I think what she was going through was real as hell and while we might not be idols, we all have shit we want to do in life and maybe feel we can’t because of commitment to our families or societal pressures, but when you follow your heart you can never go wrong and I’m so happy Keke found her answer.

Her sister, friends, parents and the entire city of Shanghai are truly behind her. I loved seeing the gradual shift from her being this great student who was content in life to someone who absolutely LOVES her life thanks to discovering her true passion. Sunny-pa quite literally saved her lol.

“I want to stay on this stage forever. Will you keep watching me as a I push forward” yes yes yes Keke we will all be behind you and the girls ❤️

Seen some people upset cause Sumire wasn’t the one who saved her at the end, but Kanon was like her first friend at the school so ofc she would be the one to help, plus that’s in her nature anyway as soon as Keke said she was going to school she knew it was a lie.

Maybe I'm forgetting something, but I think this is the first time I've seen a male character's face in Love Live (Keke's dad?)

Also, I was coping before, but the songs this season are mid at best. This one might be the worst so far.

Cute episode though.

I was one of those who thought that adding two new characters, reaching 11, was too many, although I have to admit that Margarette and Tomari I really like them, but I still find a big problem. Giving an adequate ending and the prominence that 11 characters deserve in just twelve chapters seems impossible to me. Everything seems to indicate that Margarette and Tomari will end up joining Liela, it makes no sense that only one yugioka group participates in LOVE live, because the losing team would not have a good ending.I am very interested in how they will do it so that it is not forced...

@snapular Yeah, it's the same thing with some Pretty Rhythm and Aikatsu! series. Anime logic, lol.

these two episodes just remind of how there was an uproar by one MAL user about how Keke was Chinese and voiced by a Chinese seiyuu. LOL

Needed more Sumire and less Kanon. Maybe they'll rectify that in S4 when we get another "save Keke" arc

Ehh I don't particularly care about Keke that much, I expected Sumire to have a big roll with her arc yet she barely did anything, it was always a tease about Sumire being the only one reading Keke perfectly and it went nowhere and instead Kanon had to save the day. My big take away from this episode is that there was an actual male, I don't remember if it was the first time but it was impactful lol, and I guess they have Tekken rules were people can just speak whatever language and the others will understand haha.

I know, I really like Margarete and Tomari characters and their VAs but this was something that didn't let me enjoy Nijigasaki even though I like most of the characters, there were just too many, you have episodes where a character will say like 3 words and you can feel is it because they were "contractually obligated" to have an actress perform something at all.

Keke has been my best girl the entire series, and not ONLY because I was already a huge fan of Liyuu before she took the role, since her debut single Magic Words. “Is there such a thing as the end of the road?” Her quote from the first episode of the show that kicked it all off, was so happy to see Kanon feel the same way as I do about it. Keke is the heart of the show and the reason Liella exists. This is my favorite episode of the series so far!

Bro what would you have wanted Sumire to do? She knew something was up and was frustrated but it still makes more sense that Kanon was the one to get Keke outta her funk since she wouldn't even be there IF IT WASN'T FOR KANON JOINING HER TO BEGIN WITH! And like you said, Keke helped Kanon out as well when she couldn't sing in front of people.

Err... where to begin? The implication that Keke's parents apparently never watched her and Liella's winning LL performance, the poorly executed back-and-forth between Keke's memories and present time, the constant hints of Sumire supposedly being the one to help Keke just to later be ignored and bring Kanon to save the day (again), the fairly realistic use of Chinese language during 2/3 of the episode just to later have Kanon randomly speaking in Japanese to an entire Chinese audience, Margarete's inconsistent behaviour that goes beyond being a tsundere character, Kanon constantly sabotaging the supposed "rivalry" theme this season was going for... Man, for real, this season is being such a mess narrative-wise. Everything in this episode felt so incoherent and bland.

Wow, Kanon, Tomari and Margarete (aka Tomakanote) are really good, they changed clothes really fast (forget even knowing they’d need the dresses) and just knew the song and dance choreography that Liella had prepared, either they can read minds or are amazing at improvisation lol, maybe they should get into the jam band scene. Jokes aside, that was a phenomenal performance, yeah Tomakanote’s inclusion took me out of it at first but I was quickly reeled back in by the performance itself, looked absolutely amazing and the song was another banger, Keke as center was very nice too like Shiki was before. Surprisingly tho, this did not result in the permanent fusion of the two groups, since next episode looks like they’re apart again, this makes me happy because I do really like the whole two groups thing, I want at least one more song with this new trio before they inevitably join with Liella.

And Keke is saved at long last, maybe, she might have to be saved from the Chinese mafia in Season 4 lol, but yeah I’m happy to see it, her situation was pretty realistic which made me like it more, I kinda wish her parents were actually voiced and in more scenes since this plot revolved so heavily around them but I’ll take actually seeing them at least, weird seeing someone’s dad in this series for once lol. And yeah I’m not really upset Sumire didn’t do much, she may be best Galaxy but Kanon being the one to help Keke is fitting giving how Superstar started, I’m also confident that Sumire is just conserving her true power for a later episode so I’m happy to let her cook a bit longer, the Love Live is like the Tournament of Power when you really think about it lol.

I thought it's a given that they will all compete together and separation is just a plot device. Maybe I just assumed because of opening.
Personally I would prefer TomaKanoTe too - personalities there are much better for my liking. And Bubble Rise was the best song.

Every episode makes me like Margarete more and more lol

I don't care about Keke honestly 😴
The Keke cheering was cringe, and all these chinese people perfectly understand japanese and know the entire Liella lore and care about Keke's life, yeah, ok, sure.

They accomplished absolutely nothing with all this Keke drama, 2 episodes for nothing lol
Sorry if my english is bad (っ˘▽˘)っ~~~

I really loved this episode! it was great to see more about Keke and her life in China. A really sweet moment between Keke and her family. I don´t understand why there are negative comments about Keke, without her there wouldn´t be Liella in the first place, she deserves more credit. I´m so glad she finally had her center moment.
I loved the moment between Kanon and Keke, so glad their friendship hasn´t been forgotten for new arcs.

Is hard for me to root for TomaKanote, I love Kanon but is hard for me to love Margarette and Tomari (Specially Margarette) I know they will change later tough.

That was some great Keke development regarding her future and what her parents want for her... I mean the choice to go at the university in China is wise and understandable from her parents to be honest, but of course in this anime they want to stay idols ahaha, the representation was good

wait... wait... half the face of a main cast member's father has been actually shown? WOW.

To be honest, i've been entertained by this episode more than most of the previous ones of this third season, but inconsistencies pointed out by previous posts actually do exist.

"ENOUGH WITH THIS 'THEY ARE OUR RIVALS' NONSENSE!", yeah, Kanon is tired of that stuff. And... Wien herself went from feeling dragged to attend the rivals gig to having penlights appear in her hands so quickly?

Even for a series where a single girl can magically create a full instrumental song even by being shown as a piano or guitar composer only, it was hard to suspend disbelief when Tomakanote joined Liella on stage and automatically knew the new song's lyrics and choreography despite having obviously never rehearsed both before.

Lately i began to expect SunnyPa to somehow return into the plot, i'm glad it actually happened, and they were tied to the flashback in a convincing way... all because of recent social media posts by their (beautiful) seiyuus. So... it was a good episode to watch, too bad the execution seemed a little... clumsy.
