| They really gave this season a makeover with despair. Yikes. However, I do it's interesting to see the dreadful memories in the spirit world. It gave more insight on what went down in the past. Still crazy how this all went down with the darkness army. This didn't scare Mudo and he looks fired up this arc. |

| Visually, this episode is an absolute cinema, considering White Fox is out there doing everything for Re:ZERO. From Shakuyaku's past story, Mudo & Tsukiko fighting together, to the monks attacking the banshouou. It's definitely helped with the Evan Call's OST and MindaRyn's SEKIDEI. Surely the best Sengoku Youko episode so far! |

| Man the flashback to Shaku’s life before she got with Shinsuke and the others made me mad as hell. It’s been a while since we saw that aspect of her life and I was furious at the treatment she got. Like how you gonna hate your own daughter because of the colour of her hair? Seriously fuck the dad and those villagers. So happy she and Shinsuke got their reunion after all this time π Lmao yandere Tsukiko do not play about her man. Thought Yuki Onna was about to get killed there for a second lol. Good to see Tsukiko using the skills she learnt from her training! Banshou-Oh’s form looks like something out of a mystical horror. Can’t wait to see this fight with he and Mudo next ep! | Absolute banger episode! I really like the "cinematography" of this season. Feels a lot more alive than the first season. So happy to see Shakugan back. And Shinsuke having some of the limelight was welcome! That imagery of Bansho-o standing there with a big vortex above him at the end was rad as hell! |

| You know things are going to be hype when the OP doesn't play. Pretty ballsy of Shinsuke to reject Senya's help and try to save Shakugan himself. I forgot he taught Senya Spirit World Observation. Would've been weird if he didn't have that power and tried to save her with the power of love or something. It was also nice to see the woman from Part 1 with her twins Shakuyaku and Kagan. That was so sweet. I forgot how rough Shakuyaku's childhood was. Although the mind control from the void assholes probably made it 10x worse. The amount of abuse she got just for having red hair was nonsensical. However, this is rural Japan in the 1500s. So, Ig it makes sense. Doesn't make it ok tho. LMFAO Tsukiko is hella pissed. Don't think she ever behaved this way before. I guess things change when another woman gets involved with your man. It's sus how Hanatora is listening to everything Shinsuke is saying. Hope he didn't sell his soul or something... Please don't let the Shakugan and Shinsuke reunion get cut short... Mudo vs Banshou-oh looks like it's going to be great. |

| Shakugan being a clear different spirit than she once was before, both Shinsuke and Tama have quite the challenge on their hands to revive her. But for the once maligned girl whom everyone thinks that she's a curse to the village, only for a man to come pick her up and away from the troubles and rescue her fellow yokai, which eventually gave her the name due to the forming of two souls, it's a sad but heartful return. The happenings on the ground happening all at the same time, the beasts tied up as well as Senya on his end, and the descending of Banshou-ou more or less confirms the haste of the danger. With Shinsuke taking control of matters all at once, and both Tsukiko and Mudo dealing with Banshou-oh with the unlikeliest of aids from the monks with their war god mecha, it's not easy dealing with the chunk of katawara and the Spirit People. And at long last, Banshou-ou descends in a swarm of wind and lightning...this is where the TRUE battle finally begins. |
