| Finally, the OP is here! I'm so glad it's a character song. But what's that? They have both Ononoki and Nadeko sing the OP! This was not what I was expecting at all. It was better than I expected! The visuals also reminded me of Hachikuji's first OP Kaerimichi because of all the Nadeko Sengokus. Of course, Kana Hanazawa and Saori Hayami killed it with their performance. Ougi and Nadeko is such an add team-up but still somehow works very well. I guess it could be because Ougi is a version of Araragi or something. Would like to see more Ougi cause her shenanigans are amusing. Man, the animation of this season is simply gorgeous. Especially the scene with Flirty Nadeko. The silhouettes for the other classmates was a pretty creative choice to not draw any extras. And all the little nods and references to video games and older anime is pretty cool. I guess Nadeko must like older anime to reference Doraemon and Lupin III. I have been rewatching the older Monogatari seasons bit by bit and it's wild just how much things have changed. In a good way. I don't know how many of the key staff are the same since it has been a very long time. But if it is the same Shaft that animated Bake to Nise to 2nd Season then they've improved a lot. Boomers and oldheads who say that modern anime don't look good clearly didn't watch Monogatari or their eyes have gone bad. I know the older series' had some reputation of having rushed TV broadcast versions that'd get massively improved for Blu-ray but I really can't see how they can improve upon this (unless later episodes of the Season look bad or some episodes get delayed). We got to see the pervert Kanbaru again. Man, it feels weird that the characters have smartphones now. Tho I suppose a few years have passed since the last season but it still feels strange to see. Oh, man. Sodachi's scene was so good. It just feels so good and refreshing to see her again. I really hope there will be more of her later in this season. raulindefens said: Lets go Sodachi comebackkkk. If any time this character lives happily I can finally rest in peace, it stings that she thinks she hasnt changed and didnt do any progress I agree. Idk if I'd say Sodachi is a favorite character or not but she's one of the characters that I'd love to see get a happy ending. Same with Nadeko. |
| Monogatari is already good, but i have to say this season is probably already one of the best in the series. They put a lot of work with all that crazy background and OST. That Renai Circulation instrumental was so good! Also Kanbaru my beloved i hope we see more of her. And Sodachi changed so much! I am happy for her. She looks gorgeous with that hair and dress |

| SODACHIIII ! My girl is back and she's still such a wonderful character. It's so great to see how much she's grown, even if she seems not to be happy with herself... I hope she will be someday. Her interactions with Nadeko were so meaningful, I loved it. Also, Ougi remains such an incredibly fascinating character. No matter the character she/he interacts with, it is always so profond and interesting. And I love his relationship with Nadeko ! Something about it reminds me of Ougi's interactions with Tsukihi back in Owari S2, it's not the same but there really is something similar, I wonder if this is intentional. Also, we didn't see a lot of Yotsugi in this episode, but I really love the development she's getting with her trying more and more to understand those around her and providing deeper and deeper discussions as a result. Overall this episode was once again full of very interesting and meaningful elements, and even if I don't care about this arc as much as some others we've had in previous seasons (mainly due to Nadeko not being among my favorite Monogatari characters even if I do like her), it remains a pretty great one so far, with some very good messages coming out of it. It is a bit too early to plunge into deep analysis of every scene for now, but I'm definitely looking forward to get to do it at the end of this arc. I wonder how many episodes we still have left, but when it comes to Nadeko's arc and the season as a whole. |

| What a great opening, similar enough to Renai Circulation to notice the connection, but still different enough to stay as its own song. Finally we got to see best girl, even if only for a few seconds. And Sodachi's new haircut is pretty bad... she looks like an old lady lol |
| We got Kanbaru my goat AND Renai circulation in the background in one episode? Instant 10/10 episode. Wtf Sodachi got such an amazing character development with 180 degree change from the freaky insanity she was in Owari (another proof that short hair would make any character superior lmao) Also holy fuck no way Loomer Nadeko went to *that* residence what a cliffhanger |
| Flirty Nadeko got rekt. Meek Nadeko, what even is her objective lmao Hehe Sodachi is here looking more beautiful than ever. She's the first arc I've read for this season actually, I wonder when that's going to be adapted. OP is nice too, I dunno if it tops Renai Circulation though. |

| Oof the emotional damage from bloomer Nadeko. Nice interactions between Nadeko and Sodachi though. The OP song is too much for me. HanaKana and Hayamin together, holy! So good. |

| It won't be easy for Nadeko to find the other ones especially after seeing what the "sexy" one is doing at her school... meanwhile the other one is running naked eh. Great to see Kanbaru and Sodachi again!! Amazing episode like the previous ones |
