Math in episode 2

So maybe I have misunderstood the reasoning or the subs from where I watched the episode are not correct, but the math in this episode doesn't make sense to me.

Nadeko says that if she practiced drawing for 24 hours a day, she would reach 10,000 hours in about a year. However, she then says that since she needs to sleep 8 hours a day and 8 is 1/3 of 24, it will take her 1 year x 3 = 3 years to reach 10,000 hours. But this is wrong, because the 8 hours should be subtracted from the 24, leaving 16 hours to practice, which would be 2/3 of 24. Therefore, the time it would take to reach 10,000 hours would be 1 year x 3/2 = 1.5 years.

Did I misunderstand something in the monologue, or did they really mess up the calculation?

She was talking that in the end, human beings put in effort only 8 hours a day. You know how you normally have an 8 hour shift at work. The rest is covered by sleeping and living your life.
That's why she times it by 3

Well, there are technically 8760 hrs in a year, so the math was off from the start.

She would need 1240 hrs or about 52 days to complete it,

The math was never "off"

It was rounded off from the start: 24hrs/day → 25hrs/day

100hrs every 4 days

1000 hours every 40 days

10000 hours every 400 days

400 days → 365 days

Do you guys watch episodes with your brain turned off or just have short term memory?

That is why I said "technically" even though it was rounded it is still "off" quite a bit from the exact value. It's not that deep

exactly my point "it's not that deep"

Also, the whole point of 'rounding off' is to reach a suitable figure that is close enough to ’the technically correct' figure

I see, I get it now.
In the subs where I watch the episode they changed the phrase "eight hours with breaks in-between is the limit" to "a rest of at least eight hours must be included." That's why I misunderstood.

it's nothing serious. Nadeko just used 25hrs/day to reach a rough estimate value. That's it.
