Anyone else think Deadman Wonderland is an underrated masterpiece?

Seriously, I just finished watching it and I'm quite sad it never continued and got big. The story and characters were intriguing and the fight scenes were cool too. I wish it continued so badly. The way the anime ends lets me down and just makes me wish it got more episodes. Does anyone even know or remember this anime or it's just me that checked it out, wishing it got big and became mainstream. I know it's hopeless for another season to be made since the studio behind it went bankrupt. Even with a lot of other anime that took a long ass time to get a new season, I don't think this one will at all and I doubt a new studio will pick it up since it's already way past the time the manga ended.

Masterpiece is the furthest word I would use to describe this show, sorry to say.
and it was extremely popular when it aired.
it's the 110th most popular show

The anime sadly omitted alot of stuff making a season 2 impossible as well. The manga is really good, and I hope it gets the Brotherhood treatment. Though I doubt it.

it's a masterpiece indeed. it's been quite a long time since I've seen it, but I remember a lot vividly still.
I also remember being far from content with the "ending" (big cliffhanger-), so I decided to read the manga from beginning to ending not long after and I absolutely loved that one as well. The anime was the first one that made me decide to read a manga, which is still one of my faves✨️

Nope, imo the anime doesn't make justice to manga. But even tho I love the manga I think it has the popularity it deserves.

i love the mamga but calling it a masterpiece is a gross exaggeration of its qualities. it's a highly derivative and juvinile series held up solely ny the strength of Shiro's character--which is why i own the wholr manga

if we’re talking about the anime: absolutely not

if we’re talking about the manga: 100%.

the manga hadn’t been caught up with the anime while it was being made so the ending is diff from where it should have continued from in the manga. it’s one of my favorites and i really hope it gets a reboot from a different studio because apparently the original one went bankrupt or something of the sorts. hope they’d keep the same opening song tho because it’s so incredibly underrated and catchy

I think it is more enjoyed by people who haven’t read the manga. I am an anime only and really enjoyed the season. However, I’ve seen people talk about how it isn’t a good adaptation of it.

The anime to be frank, falls short of being a masterpiece mainly because of its ending. The way they decided to conclude the storyline was unprecedented and disappointing. Unfortunately, the studio went bankrupt and we never got a second season.

If you want to find out what happens next, I suggest reading the manga. You can continue from chapter 22 and there are a total of 58 chapters.
