| So this time we got characters within the story telling a story, getting meta now lol. And it’s funny, I actually predicted two things in this one from the beginning, the first being that everyone would become animals since the story was about animals, and the second thing being that the story was about our main dude, it was especially made apparent when he wanted to leave when the story got a little dark. Both of these things ended up being true in the end and the poor lad got eaten, I’m not sure exactly what it was he did besides the obvious cheating implications, but he definitely had this coming. Not a bad episode imo. |

| The most anime Yami Shibai every looked, but one of those how to draw anime books that never quite look right. And well, a valuable lesson to not be a serial cheater or else you'll get eaten by a bunch of furries. Not the worst of the season since it's got a few unique qualities for Yami Shibai to make it stand out, but definitely not one of the strong points of the season. And unrelated, but I mentioned in the first episode thread that the ED is probably my second favourite, but it's already kinda waned on me significantly. Don't think it'd rate that highly for me anymore. |
