| No spooks here, just depression lol. This was a really good one, I had a feeling this one wasn’t gonna go the horror route when the ghost of Blackbean never showed any signs of aggression, there was always the chance it would take a dark turn but it didn’t, and I like that. It would be kinda weird to have a ghost cat but it was oddly wholesome, and it did seem like things were going to take a turn once Blackbean wouldn’t let the man leave, but then it was revealed that she was trying save him from his death. And right after this he finally got to hold Blackbean again, of course this means he did die, but it was a nice ending, it’s sad and happy at the same time. Really liked this one despite the lack of spooks, this season is looking to be better than the last one so far but there’s still a lot to go. Also my streak of starting the threads is still going lol, wonder how long I can keep it going. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go pet my own cat. |

| Probably my favorite episode so far in this whole franchise. "I wanted to hold her so much." I know how the man felt. I went through the exact same thing with my first cat. These first three episode have been surprisingly good. |

| First things first, as a cat owner, this was sad. I too thought this was just some evil ghost thing mimicking the cat but nah. Nothing spooky, death and feels. |

| Rather liked this one. I like that they adapted a softer art style since this is a softer story (although I wouldn't want this to a rule they follow 100%, would suck to know what type of story we're getting just by looking at the episode thumbnail), although I don't fully love the artstyle. It sometimes looked a bit too, WikiHow I guess for lack of a better description, but otherwise I thought it mostly paid off. I think Season 1 was about the only time Yami Shibai was consistently good at horror, so I usually prefer when Yami Shibai breaks away into different types of ghost stories. Having it be about pets/a cat is a sort of cheating because that's an easy way to win me over but yeah, this was the best of the season so far. |
