Lowkey thought season 1 was going to be "trash" like Ex-Arm but was pleasantly surprised to find out that wasn't the case.

I even gave it an 8 score! Like the animation isn't the greatest but it doesn't really bother me to be honest.

I like the plot, character development, and of course, the music which gives me tons of nostalgia.

What about you peeps? Y'all excited for season 2?

I am excited for the next season but I wouldn't call it the most underrated anime ever. 3DCGI is always gonna be looked down upon by a huge chunk of anime watchers. It is what it is.

@Dunedain_Ranger That's true. I used to be the same way.

Then I realized that some 3DCGI shows simply can have some of the best character interactions and of course, some amazing fighting choreography that will shake you to the core.

Like I used to hate on the classic RWBY series, and I haven't even watched it (immature I know) and thought the RWBY anime would be 100% better but then realized that wasn't the case. The anime's first three eps were alright but the last 3 were simply some of the most boring soulless episodes of all time so I dropped it.

The RWBY vs Justice League Part 1 movie changed my mind completely and is the biggest reason why I want to give the OG series a chance!

The most underrated ever? Probably not. It did have some legit issues; Aside from the nasty hit that 3DCG always does to a show's rating, the animation was on the awkward end. The characters usually moved well and some of the environments were nice, but they couldn't always emote gracefully and the NPC-effect... was always going to be a hard sell as something other than a budget hack. Further, the plot really took a while to ramp up into something solidly engaging. I'd say over the run of season 1 it had a couple marked step-up moments, to the point where my ultimate impression ended up being along the lines of "season 1 peaced out right when it was getting GOOD", but that means a lot of people were going to drop it early and I'm not sure I can blame 'em.

I'm looking forward to the continuation and don't agree with the aggregate score for S1 being an accurate representation of its overall quality, but at the same time I do understand where it's coming from.

I feel that it’s underrated. I also don’t really mind the CGI. I feel that it’s done well and in some cases, it even looks cool. Can’t wait for season 3!

As far as I can tell, yes, it’s pretty underrated. I don’t know if it’s the most underrated, but it definitely is a whole lot better than people are saying it is

Proper term for this thread should be UNDERWATCHED not UNDERRATED
General viewer (ages between 13 -16) would be dropping the show or some give it a low score

Thought it'd just be another trashy death game anime like Mirai Nikki/Gleipnir/5second battle/Darwin's Game but it was more of a Madoka Magica/Fate Zero. This anime could be mainstream if it wasn't held back so hard artistically by being full cgi (still better than a mediocre 2d studio). Kept thinking ufotable would've been such a nice studio for this while watching.

Hopefully in the future Yoko Taro creates more original anime with other studios and by some miracle some freelancers come bless season 2 of KamiErabi lol.

@N0neguy Doesn't deserve a 5.7 rating lol just look at the ratings on other death game anime. I'd say it's both underwatched & underrated.

This show doesn't deserve such a low rating for what it's put out so far

Especially with the last 3 episodes,i was SO invested in KamiErabi and is genuinely excited for S2 to come

@GGyouuuuu Yeah. The only reason why this got rated so "low" is because a lot of anime fans hate 3D/CGI-type shows.

Like yeah, the background grey people didn't help but all the main/side characters had amazing designs, to be honest.

@GoatPieceLuffy You can always believe in Ohkubo when it comes to designs,in my opinion it looks pretty good even in 3D
