She’s a pretty good character that fits the role of comedic relief well. She’s not as great as the others writing wise and is definitely the “weak point”. I prefer other side characters with less screen time like Maki

Heavily disagree. She is one of the best parts of the show. I love her random energy, she's a vibe. In what way do you find her annoying? You have to had know someone like her in high school? She captures that aesthetic to a T. She also isn't that stereotypical dumb cute girl in anime, she has a bunch of comebacks and isn't a push over. Without her energy the gang wouldn't be the same. Chika is also just funny.

Fujiwara is written to be a bit annoying.

As Fujiwara Chika is known vastly as, she is the embodiment of "The Element of Chaos" in this manga/anime for both Shinomiya Kaguya and Shirogane Miyuki. Whenever they both WANT to have a "Love Battle", Fujiwara comes in and ruins it.

Whenever they both DON'T WANT to have a "Love Battle", Fujiwara comes in an instigates an opportunity for one that both Shinomiya and Shirogane have to take up the challenge on. She ends up creating plenty of situations where Shinomiya and Shirogane have to battle it out to see who can get the other to admit their love first.

Her character's existence is written primarily to flip Shinomiya and Shirogane's world upside down a bit. So yes, she is quite annoying, but it's because she's purposely written that way.

In my opinion, when viewed from this perspective, it helps make her character more likeable. Whenever I start to get annoyed with her character, I remember her character's role as "The Element of Chaos" in the story, and I feel better 😁. It makes her character more comical to me than annoying.
