No, it's called "Being able to differentiate fiction from reality". Rudy is not meant to be a "Role model", it's a long, slow story about someone slowly improving and changing themselves over time in a world with completely different morals and world views. "Calling it out" is like Christian moms calling out "Darkwing Duck" for being "Too violent" or "videogames for being too violent". I love that the soy cope defense that everyone uses whenever someone criticizes the show is that they “can’t differentiate fiction from reality” or that they’re just tourists lmao. I can only imagine that the cringe people saying this stuff probably relate to Rudy’s past life a little too well.
The reality is that people are holding this show to a standard of quality that it demonstrated in S1 and the show isn’t delivering in S2. This season is devoid of any interesting plot progression and is instead trying to use boring fanservice as a crutch to squeeze out a couple more episodes.
Notice how people don’t freak out and “call out” scenes like the Eclipse in Berserk because the disgusting and awful shit that happens is actually an impactful plot point and it isn’t deployed for cheap humor or for fetishized satisfaction.

Have one episode that isn't weird impossible challenge. Bro seriously considers murdering a child and then molests girls that he's kidnapped and tied up in his room and Zanoba is just chill with it apparently. What the hell man I'm really trying to enjoy this show but it's just so weird and degenerate it's getting more difficult every episode
| @Eprico and @PhenomenaL_One u2 take the series 2seriously, its fiction not reality geez in anime/manga world/culture u2 are the odd balls :), cause ppl in it don't add so much reality in to it and don't take it so seriously, ppl in it understand that art and ecchi/pervy and edgy humor is the best and funniest, also some1 going this radical in a series to punish some1 is also funny |

| Hmm... while this episode was enjoyable for its comedic aspect I hated the fact that it completely disregarded Rudeus background. I mean, he was victim of bullying in the real world and now he does basically the same to them, kindapping them and leaving them overnight to wet themselves. Acting mighty and from the position of power? How is that right? (it was the similiar problem as in the last episode where he was willing to buy a slave and didn't even question whole fact - even though he should have plenty of knowledge about this topic from his own world). Things like these really triggers my disbelief of the whole situation and undermines the great worldbuilding from the last season. Not to mention he could repair the statue in an instant as he said himself. Other than Fitz parts, I really don't know what this episode aimed to achieve. |
