| They handled this really well. It’s such a sad and poignant story and they managed to convey the sadness and tension of what’s happening. This isn’t about sex. It’s all about having as many heirs as possible in order for at least one of them to make it to adulthood. People back then died of the most simple of infections |

| IDK bout yall but im just glad ppl are at least having sex, lol. I have no idea what it is but I cant really latch onto these characters really. I feel like they wont be as memorable come when i watch like 30 more anime. Their development is really great to say none the less tho. Edit: Another thing Id like to add is we know see the one girl in that village thought to shove all their kids with the elderly while the women take care of the farms which is nice to see how the outside is doing. |

| Though I didn't like Chie's past behaviours, her behaviour after becoming a mother is a conditioned one. I like this side of her. But damn Kasuga, she isn't stopping from sending different men, and always asking Arikoto to bring up the topic. She wants to hurt both Arikoto and Chie where it hurts the most. |
