Its kind of cruel how she's trying to use Kira now and everyone around Kira is becoming more and more racist toward him. Then there's the whole shuttle incident which rocked him. | OK in the remastered it seems they merged chapters 14 and 15 so I was a bit confused. But a fine recap and an intro to a new arc on Earth (in the desert no less. Typical UC Gundam!). Flay is actually more complex a character than I thought. She mixes despair, and ignorance with a very sophisticated level of manipulation and a strongly developed survival instinct. In a way, despite how despicable her actions may be, she has simply changed from one protector (her father) to another (Kira). Her fiancee Sei is simply too beta a guy to make her feel protected. Flay certainly will move this story along. |

| Almost nothing happens in this episode and the narrative is extremely slow, but will be room for dialogue and relationships between the characters, even ascertaining that Flay is a psychopath and even bastard. I like to serve these moments, so there is also some episodes that do not use aim to entertain the viewers, or fighting in general action scenes. The new opening than the first, I do not like it much. Poor Kira, it seems that talk of a thing rather than a person, this is racism. |

| My gosh, I couldn't even tell what was what in this episode for a good first quarter. "Is he in the ship? Is he in the infirmary? Which is it?" Way too many flashbacks-- not very clear ones at that. Now I know what's what, but why cause the confusion in the first place? I seriously thought this was a recap episode for a little while there. Then Flay reminds me of one of those undercover racists who smile in the face of minorities but actually wants nothing more than to chop them up in secret. And then watch, by some mighty miracle, she's going to realize that minorities/coordinators aren't so bad. Wouldn't doubt it. Or she'll just die. One of the two. |
| The concept of coordinator is very similar to of a cyber-newtype, artificially enhanced human beings. I really liked this episode, it gave us some backstory about why coordinators are so hated. Flay reminds me a lot Katejina from Victory Gundam, so annoying... |
