| Hiori's backstory is so relatable man. His parents forced him into this path and it's sad how many kids have probably been raised the same way. I really like the panel where Hiori is entering the doors of Blue lock and he viewed it as a place to escape. It seems we're not going to get the match with Ubers in the next match either...I'm getting pre-match blues! |

| Tbh his backstory wasn't what I found interesting since it's not first time I am seeing this type of thing but his reason to stay in blue lock is very interesting. Not only He is using blue lock to escape from his parents and his past but also in blue lock he get to be freinds with others and can enjoy rivaling them and most likely that's how his arc gonna end. |

| Yay been looking forward to seeing Hiori's backstory, he's a character I found pretty interesting since he gave solid advice to Isagi before and his passes are extraordinary. Hiori has such shitty parents, poor guy :( Todoroki is that you Hope Isagi or someone will be able to help him find some joy in playing the sport and/or develop some kind of ego. Happy to see Karasu again as well, he's such a cool and chill guy. Almost forgot they knew each other before Blue Lock. He always has some sus lines thrown in towards Hiori lmao. Really looking forward to the next match if both Raichi and Hiori get to play against Ubers. |

| I like this chapter, it's obviously not only about Hiori but shines a spotlight on a real issue that can be found in every social circle and one that's possibly even more prevalent in the football world. There's always a kid that the parents are trying to live vicariously through, pave their way out of whatever uncomfortable situation they're in with the child's talent. And even if there's no real talent, the kid is forced to at least learn the skills to utmost perfection. I've seen some of these cases (probably everyone has) and they've all ended up quite bitter about it. Oh, and the parents don't need to be Asian either. |

| Goddamn, Hiori had one abusive household. That's quite fucked up and probably relatable to a lot of the viewers/readers. Also, Yo is quite disturbed himself. He's been of my favourite side characters so far. I wonder what will happen to him later on in the series. I don't want him to just fade away into obscurity. Also, this was honestly, one of the best backstories that we've got in the series. Better than Chigiri and Yukimiya's. And definitely better than Rin's sorry ass sob story. |
