| A very noticeable change of pace and tone this episode. Very reminiscent of the episodic early seasons of Scissor Seven, though perhaps it was too abrupt of a change. I am glad they brought back that random ninja character since he was part of one of the best gag moments in the series. His backstory was very nice and it was nice to see how his interactions with Seven impacted his character. The last scene with that stranger hopefully means that we will finally get the story arc that was teased after season 3. |

| Shadow killers are throwing hands in Xuanwu, but here we cut back a convenience store on chicken island to cover some back story for one of the characters that so far barely had even 5 minutes of screen time I think... and it's actually a really nice change of pace. We need to go back to chicken island sometimes, to remind us of the friends that Seven has gone out to protect. And ordinary ninja's backstory? Very simple, but, just nice to see. Another 5/5 episode. |
