These are the possibilities about Eiko's connection to Kongming:
A. She can be connected to the family line (a descendant) of Kongming's old master since there are instances wherein he remembers his master a lot by hearing her sing or by simply being with her.
B. She can be his great great granddaughter.
C. She can be the reincarnation of his wife like what other viewers presume. Her talent at singing and kindness captured Kongming's attention, just like when he fell in love with Huang Yueying due to her talents and great virtue.
I do not think he looks at Eiko in a romantic way the way he looked at his wife. Historically, as a man known for valuing loyalty and filial piety, he remained married and in love with only one woman in his whole life.
Also, despite being with Eiko, he still cherishes the feather fan he possesses (as shown in the anime series). I believe that is a sign of how he is still attached to his beloved wife.
Based on some historical sources like "Records of the Three Kingdoms‧Volume 35‧Book of Shu 5‧Biography of Zhuge Liang" and "Records of the Three Kingdoms Popular Romance" (Summarized into an article by Sun Shuxiang on epochtimes.com):
Zhuge Liang personally went to the Huang Mansion to propose marriage. Huang Yueying gave him a feather fan and asked him if he knew the purpose of giving him a feather fan? Zhuge Liang said, "Is it that ritual is light and affectionate and righteousness more important." Huang Yueying said, "Do you know there is another?" Zhuge Liang was puzzled. Huang Yueying then said: "You were chatting with my father about the general situation of the world just now, and you looked very high-spirited. When you mentioned that you were about to leave the mountain, you were very excited, but when you mentioned Cao Cao and Yuan Shao, you frowned and worried. I gave you this fan to cover you. Face it." The wise Huang Yueying believes that a man should not be happy and angry when he does things, he should be calm, and his emotions will not make a big deal. Whenever there is a major decision, you can use a feather fan to cover your face, buffer it, and calm down before talking.
After marrying Huang Yueying, Zhuge Liang never left the fan in his hands, regardless of spring, summer, autumn or winter. At the time of life and death dangers such as six trips to Qishan, thatched boat borrowing arrows, empty city plan, etc., Zhuge Liang also shook his feather fan lightly, looking calm, and his wife Huang Yueying was also credited behind this.
Now, let us see what will happen in the strory/show...
