| Two lame recap episodes in the same day, what are the chances... I sure as hell didn't watch either. What a joke. |
| 3/5 7/10 for my mal score. Usually going with +- 1 or 2 compared to the main show. (Giving more is rare - mainly if the recap has special narration and I did not really like the main show. Kekkai Sensen I think the one recap back then in season 1 did a great job.) This was way better then the stupid previous special episode - where just the VAs commented and promoted some merchandise. They tried a bit special narration (Frederica narrating) - but still felt like your usual recap. At least it recapped most of the stuff and did not feel as weird - pacing-wise - as the one for Saihate no Paladin. Still: I think they also skipped stuff here (SoL moments when the 86 arrived there ... were cut short ... important stuff with Eugene was shown though) ... and the recap only was for a few episodes. (Anything recapping less than 1 full coure - here only half of a cour - is bad). So ... going with -1 (main show is at 8 for me). |

| I know it's a production issue, but it's so dumb when short shows like this have a re-cap, yer I totally forgot what happened in 6 episodes. I would prefer no episode over a re-cap. But I also know they have the timeslot on TV stations and wanna put something there, otherwise we'd get nice boats again. Honestly I wish they'd just plan their production better and not have to resort to this. |

| I would have preferred this at the end of the season, not in the middle of it. Also I feel like it wasn't translated well, as there was a lot of dialogue that seem compressed into 1 or 2 sentences. Can't say for sure. |
| -JuLY-LION Avid enjoyer of Sci-fi, mysteries, and serious drama anime, although anything with good writing could probably hook me in. Love is War doesn't apply to any of these, but the dub still gets my 10/10. Anyways, Rio Futaba is best girl. |
| I havent seen .5 episodes in ages and now the same show hits me twice in just 3 weeks. I really hope this wont continue with a .5 every other week |

| As the title said it was a recap episode so far... The 1st recap narrator and POV was Lena, and this 2nd one was Frederica.. well can't wait for the next episode since the huge battle'll commence |

| I guess this was hated back then when you got recap instead of new episodes but man, if you want to remind yourself 86 after few years, because you don't have to rewatch whole season or before reading a new volume of the novel, THIS IS SOO GOOOD! 86 needs part 3. Volume 4 is really bloody good. This show is amazing. Hiroyuki Sawana makes every show feel special, but this is special by itself. Anime made actually better work on volume 2 and 3 (maybe even volume 1) than LN itself, ngl, fr. |
