| Quite subtle about the first episode titled "Quiting" Looks like we're in for a final season since the promo art depicts the host literally walking away from his mask. |

| Yeah I'm pretty happy with that one. Hole they can keep it going with the rest of the season and not turn into udder dog shit like the other seasons recently. Usually they have a banger of a song at the end tho. Sad not to get a new song to add to my playlist. |

| Actually pretty decent. Kinda creepy. Like they're even implying that the mannequins we see in stores could very well be these creepy talking mannequins. |
| The atmosphere linking with the artstyle is scaring me out but what's even scarier is that this guy inspects mannequin heads, the one mannequin can even talk and move wtf this is some unusual characterization. |

| I liked this episode. I prefer when endings are a bit more open-ended but it was still spooky so I liked it. Not the biggest fan of the end theme though. Can't wait to watch the other episodes! |

| The biggest takeaway from this season premiere was the notion of this being the last season of Yami Shibai. The ED really paints that picture, and as of right now, no Season 11 has been announced so despite Yami Shibai seeming eternal, this might actually be the final season. Due to its short runtime and anthological nature, I don't think I'd have any issue with it outliving me to be honest, but I do like the idea of having a complete series nevertheless, and Yami Shibai isn't exactly a series I'd define as consistently good so it's cool to final get a closing passage. It is somewhat a shame that next year for my March Mania I won't have a Yami Shibai season to wait for me like has been mostly a yearly tradition for me since 2017 though. This episode was a perfect example of what I was talking about with it not being consistently good. The concept here about a guy working a job to dispose of talking mannequin heads is a solid one, but I don't really like what they did with it. The mannequins probably shouldn't have threatened him like they did but I get their stress, but the guy's reaction seemed ridiculous. I can understand freaking out, but their request clearly showed that they didn't have any nefarious plans for him, and his descent into just burn them all felt rather forced. I don't remember all episodes from the last 9 seasons but I wouldn't be surprised if this was the most easily avoidable bad fate in the entire series. |
