Out of the frying pan, and into the fire as they say.

And man is Selection Project now going for the 22/7 treatment with 9-tie making a name for themselves, with the group suit to match. But it doesn't help that all 9 girls were once part of the Project that has fans take sides, and their rise to stardom will not be easy with their own promotion and marketing as unknowns.

Now that all 9 girls are in the wild, some hardcore fans swarm them like paparazzi to show their unwavering support, and others (the group competitors) still feel like they would just follow the show's advisory than to "make friends", because that's what variety shows are about. The journey to sing their hearts out is a lot tougher without any support and backing, and it's no surprise that Selection Project still has their eyes on 9-tie, even if only once related on a business level. I just feel so pleased to see the previous girls like Seira come back, which shows that their characters aren't wasted for plot.

9-tie making a new wave with their new original (insert) song: いつか かなう 夢 (Itsuka, Kanau, Yume) lit. "Our Dreams Will Come True Someday" and each and every girl's re-introduction, it's a bold step forward for them with the few supporter numbers they have (and growing). But the audacity of Sumipanda as Red-Bean Jun to present the last hurrah of Selection Project's final stage round to bring all 9 girls back with 2 million Yells combined, that's the only way of attachment to engage them back.

So, it's the program that becomes lax for 9-tie to make their eventual debut, as predictable as it is. Still though, this journey has been worth it in the long run...and is Suzune gonna suffer the "heart transplant" karma again?

The girls still have a long and difficult road ahead of them, but I'm sure they'll be fine.

I liked the new song.

Hoping for a great finale! :)

They really got so many subscribers that fast, and haters are not haters anymore after their representation = total win xD
Though seems like they're back in the game for the last challenge, and getting 2 000 000 will be difficult.
And that end of episode sequence = foreshadowing Suzune's cardiac arrest during the final representation?

I really love 9-tie costumes. They should continuing use these costumes. Starting a new idol group from scratch is not that easy, but 9-tie can do it. They've got a lot of new fanclub eventually. They are able to turn a zero into a one.

2m votes are a lot, but they can gain it with ease. I hope it will be a great return for them. Hopefully, nothing bad will happen to Suzune. She was not looking well at the end of the episode.

The new insert song in this episode - Itsuka, kanau, yume.

Honestly this is their best episode.

Instead of 22/7, I prefer Wake Up Girls for describing Selection Project.

The animations are good and lively, really great and talented animators considering some of them were involved in the production of Kanojo Okarishimasu (Rent-A-Girlfriend) and Wonder Egg Priority.

I myself felt relieved at last, "we have 4 mainstream idol animes this year with their own characteristics."

Best episode so far.

But..

I questioning about their choice when they accepted the "unconventional" idea propose by Selection Project. If they accepted the offer, is 9-tie still exist? are they gonna compete each other again? is Selection Project plan to create one super-idol or one idol group? i do not recall Selection Project reveal their true intention in the anime.

Anyone please clarify to me

The logic is simple actually.

It's very likely that the 9-tie will still be around

(at least if the anime's producers learn from Wake Up Girls and 22/7, and not repeat what Nojima Shinji-san did in Wonder Egg Priority, something I really felt so scary when they decide to change the direction of the story from an Idoly Pride-liked story to the story like we have watched since episode 10-11).

The position of "Selection Project" from episode 10 is more similar to bvex (remember I-One Club vs Wake Up Girls group from Green Leaves) in Wake Up Girls or 22/7's agency in their anime

(Indeed, this is not something common in this genre, you may be a little confused but in general, despite the many dramas, this type of anime is famous for doing plot armors, different from the usual presentation given by Idolmaster-Love Live (including Idoly Pride), where they prefer to be less drama and stronger Slice-Of-Life but still meaningful through character dynamics and music productions).

And the going gets tough, as they say. The girls now have to make a name for themselves outside their initial popularity from the SelePro show. Thankfully Jun (no longer literally inhibited by the Sumipanda costume) is still there to look after the girls, perhaps wanting to avenge his own failed stardom by helping them, indirectly being their first follower, and then directly with that surprise proposal. Thankfully many of the SelePro fans still support them even as an independent unit (in the meantime), and with their first live performance at Oomiya Station a success, surely more people will know their name.

SelePro taking them back in is not a surprise for me. They would rather strike the iron while it's hot than lose their show's reputation as the home of rising pop idols – Akari Amasawa being the most remarkable example. I'm sure Jun had a hand on this as well. As with the 2-million cheers challenge, if 9-tie will win this, then they will surely have an easier ride to further popularity now –– if not, then SelePro would still have been a great opporunity for them to make themselves their name. And just like that, one of my predictions turned out true: that SelePro would help them in their journey, but not before letting them taste the reality of things.

I like how Karin, Ayano, and Seira had roles here too – I thought the show left them for good until the previous one. The dynamic presented by Karin here is a good reminder for us that sometimes, it's better to let our works do the talking for us, but also that our decisions will definitely affect many people in return. Either way, she's a tsundere. Seira's quirky English still gets me laughing anyway.

Finally, the new song "Itsuka, kanau, yume" is surely a new LSS/earworm to many after "B.B.". Having references to the whole unit, as well as to its constituents (the pop dance genre taken from Splasoda, the heavy use of guitars and bass in the arrangement thanks to GapsCaps, and the ballad-like lyrics and singing thanks to SuzuRena).

In general, this episode was one of the better ones in the series, a personal close second after episode 10. It's all fun until the post-credits scene, though.

I just love how everything gets resolved so easily in this show, also didn't took that long for them returning back to the show they were once disqualified from, and again I'm getting the feeling of main girl collapsing right in the middle of her performance.

Maybe i already broke the guideline well ma ikka

Need to do a lil bit of research before reply this (since the only company-produced-idol anime i've watch is idoly pride) and still didn't quite understand.

So is 9-tie still gonna exist? aren't they gonna repeat the same mistake where they disappoint their cheerer since they already get 58,762 follower for their new group?

Our girls will compete as a group right? 9-Tie needs 2.000.000 for their official career with Selection Project as sponsor.

They no longer have to compete with each other. Just 9-Tie to win the challenge of 2.000.000

Im worried about Suzune, that last seconds in the episode... Maybe heart problems? Oh no.... :(

As I expected, the company made their move once the girls' group started to get traction, which is understandable - the company wouldn't want to lose such a valuable asset after investing in it. Although it would be sort of refreshing to see 9-tie make a huge success as an indie band, I'm not too opposed to this development (especially with the cliffhanger at the end of the episode...)

i rly hate how they did the complication for this ep. its like they were trying to show the struggles of idols that start from 0 but they didnt start from 0? they continue with this "we dropped out of that show, we shouldn't use any methods related to it" well you existing and still being here is related. no matter what you guys are still "the girls who were in selection project" and come on they could've used a lot more other methods to promote themselves, they don't have to only perform irl. live streaming is a thing, you can still perform there, people will recognize you even if you don't introduce yourself as what they recognize you for. they could've joined another agency, etc but oh well the show has always been like this what did i expect

their debut song was rly cute tho, i memorized some of the choreo bc it was fun

9-tie performance today was so good omg, the girls have grown so much since the first episode. Couldn’t be more proud of them.

I’m quite sad cause there’s only two more eps to go, hopefully this project continues with gacha and more seasons. Definitely been my fave idol show out of the 22/7, Idoly pride and Nijigaku that we got in the past year.

bruh tf is twintail-chan on about lmao. A practically idol competition show chooses to disqualify all its competitors when they choose not to kick someone else which ends up with them going to form their own separate group and she decides to side with the company?. And what kind of absurdly luck based plan was this company even thinking lol, if they didn't dq them and accepted them all going through that'd be fine but they literally kick them out, """watch over them""" and them bring them back lmao wtf. This is like 22/7 sus shit and the characters here are so nonchalant about it as well

but at least the song and dance was pretty nice

oh nos, is heart problem-chan going to have a heart problem on stage in the final D: inb4 they DQ her again

Great episode! 9 Tie have been trying to put their name out there but unfortunately failing miserably xD. In the end, however, their group gets some traction and because of that, the selection project CEO has invited them back for a special final round on the show!
(Imo this was all very convenient.... Also, I agreed with what that girl who auditioned for the show said and that they didn't have what it took to play the game properly and because of their stupid belief in 'friendship power' it was their fault they got removed).

Looking forward to the next episode!

With 9-tie making their way up independently, regardless of what the world pushes their way, it was only a matter of time before they were picked up again by Selection Project to make their pro debut in the final round of Selection Project’s 7th Season ...can this series stop throwing so many clichés please-

Hmm there could’ve been more drama for when they get called back though, but I guess instead we’re going to have some development with Suzune and her health

Ah, they touch the kind of drama i want, the struggle, Uta's mom also mentioned it and given up the ultimatum, and some of them actually regretting their decision to dropped out from the Sepro (y'know who). Unfortunately, imvho, its not enough to put all of them into one episode only, which somehow its left some bad taste on my mouth. But at least the expected result to bring them up into those finisher situation is actually not so bad end. I actually enjoy the fun more when they just focus on singing and dance without even care with other aspects. Just the casual idol anime i like. Still, its just happened, and Sepro directly via their ceo invited all the girls to even make a comeback for the incoming event, whatever its lead them into. If they stay true to the path of being a street idol, it shall be and sounds better. However, that's how Selection Project routed, despite whatever things hit Suzu right before the show is closed. Oh no, not that heart again....

This episode started out the way I thought their 9-tie endeavor would turn out, not a soul caring or showing up to their concert. But thankfully they ended up turning it around and attracting a decent crowd, I really liked their new song too, outfits and dance were great too, this show never fails when it comes to the performances. Now they’re going back on the show for a final performance, I don’t blame them for going back but I’d still be pissed about that vote lol, I guess you could say this is a sort of revenge concert, and that’s how I kinda see it (reminds me of a certain zombie idol anime)

But damn, they really had to hit us with Suzune’s heart problems again at the end of the episode, I really hope it’s not serious, but knowing this show it most likely is.

By the way, heart transplant recipients are not guaranteed to live for long in fact, the average lifespan of those who had a heart transplant is just 13 years. Therefore, heart transplantation is not a conventional treatment for heart disease, but as a last effort to save and improve the quality of life of patients with end-stage heart disease just for a little longer.

Now about Suzune...

She is strikingly similar to Sakura Kawasaki from Idoly Pride now I think about it.

But Suzune, just like Sakura on Idoly Pride, just received heart transplant surgery 3 years ago...

Love how Suzu didn't want to abuse their Cheerers when they formed 9-tie; but immediately when they get accepted into SelePro again, she mentions they wouldn't let their Cheerers down, instead of the actual fans they worked so hard to get... lol

Higher ups shoulda decided this as the final round for all of the finalists instead of going with a 'vote-2-people-out' which hadn't tested any of their talent at all. at least there's gonna be a bit more story goin on here besides '1-ep-only-conflict-and-resolution' and whatever boring 'idol group making' we've been getting as of late.

And I had truly hoped her heart transplant wouldn't have gone further than that. EZ second-last episode cliffhanger drama cooking up here LOL. can we get more about Akari instead please?!

Tbh, the way the story is being conducted to me makes no sense anymore. Like for w/e in the most popular season of a reality the producers decided to eliminate all the contestants because they didnt buy their ideia of they elimnating someone, when their show clearly is public-vote based, so like who tf had the ideia of making the own contestant make the elimination.

But ok, that got some drama, story moved and now they noticed their moves were bad and they want the girls back and the girls just accepted? Like how and why.

Sincerly makes no sense, it seemed that things are improving for the girls little by little, why accept the Project again? Why not even negotiate the terms for the return? What message the writers of this show are trying to pass? Im really not getting. And anyway 2 episodes left, I hope they stop this inconsistencies and give us a good finale. I had so high regards about this after episode 4 that im so disapointed.

I understand their frustration with 9-tie dropping out of Selection Project, but what was stopping them from doing the same thing the girls are doing right now. I get that Selection Project gives you a better chance at being an idol. However, if they believed in their talent they wouldn't let the show get in their way. I like seeing them learning the hustle of being a idol. Am a bit surprised that they didn't get many followers at first but it worked out in the end.

They need 2 million yells this time?! I'm really curious on how many people are watching and will vote for one girl that much. Since they got their own group going maybe they will have more viewers. One final round to "redeem" themselves. But I kinda wanted to see them decline the offer and just end it there. Oh well. Girls be ambitious!

I don't understand how posting about the idol group on an account with lots of followers, FROM HER OWN WORK, is considered "cheating," but doing advertisement isn't? Just seems like dumb logic for dumb drama.

Also, the devil's advocates in the past losers and the mom are honestly much better then any sound reason the girls could come up with. Like really, why did she apologize? Because their performance and singing was good? Well obviously, they were the finalists of the Selection Project, but that's not why you were mad at them in the first place. It was because they dropped out, not over their skill, so it just doesn't make sense for her to apologize for anything.

THEN THEY INVITED THEM BACK??? I swore that selection project chick was like "all we can do is watch them from afar." Well, inviting them back into the show doesn't seem like watching them from afar now does it. They got rewarded for breaking the rules.

The nine show participants, having completely cut ties with The Project, pushes on as an indie group called 9-Tie. The problem? Despite the supposed benefit of being associated with The Project, virtually no one in that audience seemed to bat an eye on their attempts at working as a group. They need to work harder to spread the word out; and so they did, albeit without being allowed to use their already well established individual social media accounts for reasons that cannot be explained beyond getting sued by the company that presumably owns them. Curtesy of catmouth Shiori, 9-Tie now has actual promotional material to pass around. They've been granted permission to plaster them on the walls of various stores, and when they aren't, they're directly drawing attention to themselves to pass around said posters.

Eventually, some members come across passersby who recognize them from the show, and all of them are excited with the new direction they're taking... except for Karin; being an auditioner for the show herself, she was disappointed in all nine finalists sacrificing the opportunities they worked hard for and earned, in favor of keeping their relationships intact. While it caused some doubts, this didn't stop the group from forging on. More and more people start to take notice of them in person, and Suzune's distant buddy calls her up to show how impressed she is to see 9-Tie's climb to success.

After a street concert in which 9-Tie pulls in their largest crowd yet, Karin checks back on the group to apologize for her earlier criticism, and Ayano states with confidence that they'll support 9-Tie the rest of the way; good on them. At this point, in a short amount of time, and with no real business backing to boot, this group of nine TV show dropouts have shown excellent progression in growing an audience... and as it turns out, the CEO of said TV show really took notice of that. Seeking an opportunity to cash in, she wants to offer the entire gang back for one more performance on the show and has dispatched the Sumipanda guy to deliver the news, to which they gladly accept.

___________________

A few questionable details concerning the way these girls promoted themselves (considering how easily they could've leveraged their status as recent ex-contestants to cook up buzz at a quicker rate), but other than that, this is probably the show's best episode at the moment.

Now they somehow popular again, that was quiet cringeworthy and unrealistic.
And they back on TV, that's really good news, because last two episodes were really boring.
I don't understand why Karin apologized. Actually this is seriously pissing me off. She was 100% right. They took her place and then quitted like losers. They retreated before difficulties, that's not what idols do. Idols don't run away fucking up people's hopes, they fight.
I'm pretty sure, Karin was ready to fight to the end and SP was her dream, but no, Friendship is Magic, so fuck the difficulties, let's go home, girlfriends!
I guess cook woman is secretly CEO?
