it feels like it is a good adaptation to me but i could very well not be we all know the animation and art is not the best but it is still pretty good so aside from that was any major content cut and stuff like that

It's very slow. It should be x2 faster. Also there are the most simple and uninteresting fights ever animated.

I can see why you say it's slow, but on the other hand a lot of other people would say that if you sped it up then you'd be skipping a lot of content. Plus I believe there is objectively not enough content to fill this 12 episode anime series with fast paced content because I think there might not be enough source material.

I can't say if it's a good adaptation or not as I have not read any source material yet. But I can say that this anime has become one of my fav isekai anime after the 4th episode.

Im not a fan of his voice, there wont be a time skip for when he goes to a journey, its literally 1 or 2 days after the recent episode. But I hope his balls drop in those few days, cause the anime voice doesnt match the manga adaptation, thats just me though
Hhhmmmmmm.......

no major content was cut but to me it feels a bit rushed, a lot of the small interactions that made you care for the characters were skipped, not too surprising but also pretty dissapointing.

I've never read the source material for anything I watch, so this is coming from a pure anime watcher. Aside from the extremely uninteresting combat scenes, I haven't found anything I particularly would dislike. The art quality looks decent even though animation isn't anything great.
Story seems interesting enough to keep me going. Surprised it's this low rated when the assassin isekai is sitting at 7.7, but I guess that's just because of the animation quality or slow pace. This adaptation seems similar to the slime isekai quality thus far, maybe a tad bit worse.

It's been quite a while since I've read the novel(haven't read the manga much), so I can't say for sure but in my opinion, the amount of content covered is good enough.

My problem with this adaptation is, I'm not sure how to say this, with the storytelling/screenwriting? Everything feels so bland and dull compared to what I've felt reading the novel. The pacing sometimes is all over the place, especially in supposedly emotional scenes. Overall production feels amateurish not only because of low budget or whatever. I don't wanna judge the studio, but their past animes were mostly a flop it seems, so maybe there's that in play too.

In short, I think this adaptation, when keeping in mind the novel, is mediocre at best. If you're interested in this story, I would suggest checking out the novel or the manga. Of course you can watch the anime as-is as long as you're enjoying it :)

I was wondering how this anime was rated so high... I think this thread it the nail on the head. Like the animation quality is great, but the presentation of events is just so... poorly done. I feel like there's a good story in here, but everything is just so bland.

It's very bad. At being an adaptation.
Both this and Blue Period have enjoyable adaptations but rushed so much it doesn't fell like the same title as their source material. Both mangas I have in favourites but I'm sure I personally wouldn't value those titles as much if I consumed them as anime only.

It's a decent adaptation, having read the manga I can say that much. But the god "Stagnate", was done a disservice. His face was well I guess the people adapting it wanted him to be a typical villain and made him ugly. But he wasn't ugly in the manga and he wasn't a two dimensional bad guy. All I wished was they gave him Genos's face (One Punch Man) in stead.

It's not like this is one of the worse adaptations I seen but still underwhelming nonetheless. They rushed over volume 1 which wasn't a good idea because that's where most of will's character development are. The manga/ln was so great because of it's well executed tension, mystery, atmosphere and world building as well as the early interaction scenes with the undeads which made them lovable. The anime fails to capture the same dark fantasy vibe and left a lot of details which is why the drama felt week in comparison.

Sorry about the little rant but this anime could've been so much more with better budget, studio and staffs.

Also stagnate looks very different in the LN but idk how to post images in this site so do look it up.

Sounds like another victim fallen prey to the modern 11 - 13 episode format obsession.

I didn't quite understand what you mean? Are you talking about the drop in animation quality?

No, I'm referring to the way many series in recent years are inferior to what they otherwise could be if they weren't crammed into 11 - 13 episodes. This limited episode count format makes them feel far more rushed to me. It's okay with mainly or purely Slice of Life series or some experimental shows that have one more limited story to tell in the form of what feels like an ultra-long six or seven hour movie, but series like this years ago would have been meant to go for much longer - many times longer, and would have a lot more room to breathe as a result.

That's why a lot of current drama, action, Sci-Fi, fantasy, etc. series feel rushed to me compared to if they came out in, say 2006.
