sub vs dub

i am bit confused here, usually i always watch anime/movie with their original dub bc there is always something that won't translated well on their alternated version. while disney advertised this as anime, and have japanese studio and producer. which would make japanese as their original dub. i can't just put aside the fact that this is an american franchise.
so should i watch the dub or sub?

I watched the whole thing in the English Dub and generally liked it. The english cast is absolutely stacked and made it fun, although some of the shorts were better than the others in terms of vocal performance. I didn't watch it in Japanese, but I'm sure it's a similar case there.

I watched it subbed and it was really good as it always is I’m sure the dubs probably fine though to but subbed is always better change my mind

I only watched the sub but i can tell you that it is very good. I havent watched the dub but considering it is star wars, i think the dub would be pretty good too.

I watched the first episode in both languages and i have got to say they did a good job in both the sub and dub but i would recommend the dub because many old characters like boba fett are there and they are voiced by their original actors who portrayed them in the movies

I just downloaded dual audio so I don't have to choose. Cos both sub and dub VA cast are stacked.

I watched few of the episodes in subbed and dubbed. Both are solid but, some are better subbed than dubbed imo.

I watched the whole thing dubbed because I couldn't find any good subtitles and thought it was pretty good

I watched it in both. The Japanese voice actors were genuinely better and felt more professional, but the dub had some nice ones...but also some bad ones.

it’s still Japanese original and honestly western dubbing has ruined some animes for me

Watched both dubbed and subbed. Dub does a generally worse job. Not just in performance but also casting, a lot of voices didn't fit, as well as writing itself, the dialogue is a lot more stilted and unnatural, as is often the case with dubs. The English dialogue also misses out on quite a few details here and there that are present in the Japanese dialogue. Side note, the subtitles available are a transcript of the English dialogue, which means even the subtitles will often be just wrong and not match the Japanese dialogue, and that can be annoying and unhelpful. So if you can't understand Japanese yourself and have to rely on the subs, you'll end up reading the English dialogue anyway, it just becomes a matter of which language's voice acting performance you prefer.

I'll suggest you to watch in dub. The English terms(Like Force, Jedi, Lightsaber, etc) spoken in Japanese will make it really cringey.

Ep 2 had a butchered dub unfortunately but beyone that and a couple questionable va choices it was pretty good
