I found this episode very realistic in terms of the actual warfare reactions. There are stunned soldiers out there shaken by reality. |

| Like the previous episode, pacing was a bit fast due to having to fit the rest of the arc in a limited timeframe (4 and a quarter chapters adapted this episode), but the entertainment and excitement was still through the roof. Man am I excited for these next few episodes as they get closer to the '8 day mark' that Shoubunkun theorized to Shin during their little convo, for their survival chances to improve. |

From the start, as I mentioned in the last episode, Shin figured out how to defeat that Fu Tei guy by remembering how to fight Kyou Kai. Then he surprised me a lot but he was expected to be like Shin when he hit Fu Tei or even Kaine. It was really funny when Fu Tei was thrown from the fortress by a member of the Hi Shin Unit that was Ryuu Sen as we saw. Even a humble gesture on the part of Sei to come at night to raise the morale of the troops. The conversation between Shin and Shou Bun Kun that they will last for 8 days, even a very bad thought I can say. Skin is really mentally destroyed in what bloody fights are there. I'm surprised and the castle was expected to last so long. But leaving that, Sei entered the front lines to raise the morale of the troops ?? For that now, if he's not taken care of properly ... I hope he'll be fine in the next episode. |
| A blow to the neck is a huge blow. Zheng will be okay, but I wonder if the others will be? Diao is cracking, I hope she finds a way to get back on that horse. Big cliffhanger and we still have a handful of episodes left! I’m happy to see the score go up slowly |

| solid cliffhanger at the end... i really loved how this one focused mainly on zehngs ability to boost the morale of the citizens, and how important morale can be in general imagine being in war... people who are more pumped up to fight for an important cause could certainly fight harder than people who are just kinda doing a job i also kinda appreciate how "dramatized" or "dramatic" a lot of it all is, (and yes, not realistic when it comes to certain things, nor is it trying to be), it really feels like an embodiment of all the legends about this period of china. two warriors duke it out and its a fairly regular fight, but when it had major results, people will exaggerate (in a good way, what was witnessed and telling stories over centuries about how someone took on 100 men or could hold a 100lb blade or through someones horse into the air from a parry etc etc... it all fits the show really well even if its not total realism... it fits the legends (if that makes sense) |

| I hope it's just a shallow wound...but gosh...that looks like right into the jugular! This is the price that Zheng have to pay for being too risky. Good thing Xin rushed in just in time. Btw, my heart almost shrank seeing those young boys joining the fray. This is why I really hate war irl. But don't get me wrong, I passionately love Kingdom! Good thing I binge watch this particular season! No need to painfully wait every week. |
| Welcome to Ten being the most useless and dumbest person in the Sai arc. A debt is more important than saving dozen of civilians, protecting the entire Kingdom and saving the castle. Well, she'll do better next time but will she even get that chance? Mistakes happen but this was grandious. Even Sei went to the frontline and got his ass busted by some no-name captain. All the "morale" and "fighting spirit" they've gained the past few days are all GONE in a single split second by a mistake he made. There was no reason for him to go so far into the enemy, he did protect the lives of a few young boys but the price he paid for it is huge. Curious on how they'll protect the castle now with their morales down |

It's definitely disturbing, like in Full Metal Panic when we learned Sagara Sosuke was a child soldier having grown up in a war torn land. Just depressing. Even worse when you consider all the child soldiers in Africa who grow up into men with no conscience. |
