| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- First, I just want to start by saying that Youko girl is a bitch. Seriously, I hate her. I know that somehow she may be forgiven or something or given some backstory, but currently, II hate her. -Anyway, holy crap, they really did lose. I actually gasped. Of course, then they pulled out the "third place" trick as seen in previous tournament anime like Eyeshield 21. (I think they did say the top three teams move on but somehow I totally forgot) -The Ojou is kind of annoying me too. I never liked the Noblewoman's laugh so hearing it in excess is like...torture. -More IchiXKashi please. |

| It finally happened. Team Ichigo had always managed to overcome cheating and other kinds of unsportsmanlike acts from their opponents - until now. The title of the episode was a giveaway, but it still didn't take away the shock of losing for the first time. garfield15 said: First, I just want to start by saying that Youko girl is a bitch. | Youko is a bitch (though this and the past episode did explain why she has a cellphone in the OP). I can't wait for her to get her comeuppance. I can only deal with Team Ichigo losing because I am sure that they will be able to take revenge later in the Grade Prix. I also like how a lot of things are happening though. Drama, Victory and Defeat, Sweets! Makes the show worth watching. |
| So Youko won? But they managed to be ambiguous about who gets to go to France, so Ichigo and everyone still has a chance? That's kind of lame. I guess they needed a set back at some point, but it would have been great if it were one not at the hands of cheaters, but because they are actually inferior. They've gone up against high schoolers and lost to these dopes? That doesn't make any sense. I didn't like this episode. |
| Wow, what a suprise...I don't like this episode. It was too abrupt, it happened way too fast. Also, I hate Youko, she's just a rich snob who cheated..it doesn't make any sense. Maybe, this is something that will deepen the love btwn Kashino, maybe he'd admire her from afar, or...something would happen that made him come rushing to rescue her...ahhh...the wonders of what could happen in this show. I hope the next episode is better...also I can't believe Kashino left CHOCOLAT...that's just really cruel..I bet he'd start failing without her..because they have some sort of a special bond? =/ |

| I can't believe that they lost. Normally I would've been like, "Yeah, props to the creators for actually having their characters experience the sting of defeat - it makes things interesting" but having Team Ichigo LOSE in the Grand Prix to a bunch of cheaters is just lame. I would much rather have seen them beaten just because of skills - although they are reeeally skilled. And um, okay. What the heck is the "finishing" category anyway? D< They would have won if not for that stupid category. I hate Ojou and Ayukawa. And the Principal's reason for letting Ojou's team steal Ichigo's design was absolutely ridiculous and one of the dumbest things in the episode (besides letting Ayukawa cheat) - "Let's watch over their battle to see the outcome, just like the 7 Year Sweets War" or whatever he said. Umm I'm pretty sure no one cheated in the "war"...? I guess this episode was more annoying than anything. The only good points were the IchixKashii points. :< |

| you know, Makoto could probably have put a stop to all the cheating by saying something along the lines of "I could never love a cheater like you", if nothing else, it would have rattled her enough to cause her to make mistakes. At the very least, he shouldn't have let her touch him, and made his hate for her as blindingly obvious as humanly possible. I'm disappointed in the teachers, the cheating was flagrant here :/ also, they should ban cameras and cellphones at the school, all anyone seems to use them for is cheating. | Wow, Youko not only stoled Team Ichigo's idea, she even sabotaged them in the match. It wasn't even canceled and they lost due to lack of time with the obvious sabotage. I hate that girl and I want see her burn in Hell. |

| It would be a good episode if only the Ichigo team actually lose fairly to another team rather than underhanded tactics. I wonder how many times already Ojou is excused from cheating just because of her status. That girl and her servants should have been kicked out of school already. And now Kashino has to join her team because of the unfair lose. |

| Typical shoujo having the ojou character sabotage the female lead's efforts. Doesn't surprise me as a fair number of titles aimed at the shoujo crowd have similar storytelling tropes play out. But at the same time, doesn't make for engaging entertainment when you have to wonder why the judges didn't question the blatant sabotage from the Ojou team. |
