Momo confronting the truth is like conrfronting her personal demon.

This turned out to be quite an episode for her as she also shows her powers as a Reflector. Not a fan of her character but hey, she's fighting or what she believes in.

Niina has a wee bit of resolve but no courage, while Masochist Uta is the total can-do opposite.

Momo confronting Hiori's older sister-cum-her former partner Mio, though they're all Reflectors one and the same. The Fragment feelings that resonate partner Reflectors, for good or bad, have shaped both of these girls' lives, same feelings then but different feelings now. A long talk this is one that by all means is irreparable no matter what the result says.

Needless to say that Niina put up a mediocre fight against Momo in her fully fledged Reflector self, and Mio fully retracted against Momo's questioning of her change of heart and Hiori, there's no consolation left to say, but of empty words and an evil resolve to do things right.

The time of salvation is coming.

Actually liked today's ep, as it felt like a much needed plot progression, that holds some interest. Does make me wonder what that last flower is, but also if their supposed plan goes well, considering we've still got so many episodes left.

This was actually a pretty good episode which on top character development connected quite many plot things as well. The build up was very slow but it did pay off in the end.

I wonder how they will beat that Sephira thing. (plus hopefully they will explain who caused the reset too)

Well... finally a amazing episode, this anime need more development, we lose so much episodes of nothing happening just to have some productive moments now, the conversation between Mio and Momo was interesting to the lore, like, what happen to close the common? And why so many Reflectors have created ?

Yuri on the beginning and never show up again, same to Lime and Yuzu, just now in a flashback...

The production of the anime have now 15 episodes to work hard on the story of this anime, must improve a lot and explain more, because explain everything on 3-4 episodes will break the anime rating.

Its now episode 9 and its good.. and in this episode, momo actually found out what school they were hiding?! So she caught up with mio, in order to get the truth out of her.. and cuz of that, momo finally remembers what shes fighting for, and in order to better protect hiori and the others.. the truth indeed hurts, and a lot, but only the strong can face the truth with all they got and move on.. we, as humans, are all contradictory beings.. we are strong, yet we are fragile.. we are wise, and not wise at the same time.. we are ignorants, and not at the same time, and so on.. and thus, the world of humans all are supported by emotions, as the seven sins are also emotions.. anyways, i rate the episode a 4.5 of 5, 4.5 for both story and art.. :)

We still don't know the timeline of Ray.
This series could be either a prequel, sequel or alternative timeline of the game.

It is not certain yet and we have not seen Hinako, Shirai in this new installment. But if it is indeed a sequel, then

What I really loved about the Game was how OP and unbalanced Yuzu is. After she learned her special move, everyone else is just her supporter, boosting her until she one-shot kills every part of the enemies.
My team was Shirai and Lime as support and Yuzu as the main finisher. Yuzu always dealt the max damage, leading to the enemies falling apart, piece by piece

I think there has to be some sort of trickery with the timeline in Ray because Mio hinted to that.
The world is repeating itself, the citrus twins are around and there are a tons of Reflectors ...based on the current available information it's hard to guess just what is Ray to the original game.

I really liked that they finally revealed this is a sequel to the game!

But even more than that I really love what they've been doing with Momo's character arc

You never see the Gandalf/mentor character archetype develop INTO the Gandalf archetype like that, except maybe in a flashback to their younger days, it's a really unique take on the mentor trope and I've looooved her arc <3

In this episode she finally became the mentor Hiori and Ruka needed - a mature, badass magical girl who can defeat evil with kindness and compassion. Momo reaffirms her love for Mio even as she promises to stop her BECAUSE she loves her, and even apologizes as she knocks Niina unconscious (unconcerned with the fact that Niina was trying to murder her) <3 All while delivering a speech about the Power of Friendship to Niina!! <3

So turns out it is actually a reboot of the previous "world" or timeline where Mio and Momo were partners and they all died against that "boss", Mio is still mysterious though and she didn't reveal everything, but anyway in this timeline she doesn't want to do the same mistakes as before so that's why she's acting like that I suppose, I can't blame her with that kind of trauma, same for Niina even though she was annoying her backstory helps to understand her.

Yuzu and Lime seeing them again was nice especially with what happened round the end of the first game

This episode's cleared up alot of confusion on my part shame it took 9 episodes but now I'm no longer scratching my head wondering why the rules are so different here compared to the first game.

Now they just need to explain...
