| Excellent episode, They got rid of the repetitive low rent comedy from the first 2 episodes and put the meat on the bones here massively improving the show for doing so, not to say the comedy is all bad but it was in much better small bursts here when it popped up. Hopefully that wasn't the last we see of Katsuki and Baromagnes either! They went through the effort of bringing in a named character with accolades to fight so I'd like to see him again. |

| Yuyu in black lipstick and Danji with creamy white stuff in his mouth- this show is trying to kill me. And if Danji would quit one of his 42 jobs, he wouldn't need to trick Yuyu into helping him. Clearly this isn't about cards, so I don't know why they even bother. Yuyuji in the card shop is the absolute cutest thing I'll ever see. The end battle looked fucking nice too. Can't believe a show called Cardfight overDress is the one I look forward to the most each week. |
| I still had my issues with this episode but definitely better than the first 2. A lot less time spent on meaningless garbage and more time spent on characters, and while the card games sucked, they at least weren't confusing, just underdeveloped and a bit non-sensical (realistically that Nirvana deck doesn't beat Baromagnes with a grade 2 Vairina after that 15 soul play but whatever I'm a card nerd I'll let it slide kinda). Animation was the best it's been, cliffhanger was the first thing to actually make me curious about the next episode. Not great, but mostly decent. |
| TEN COMMANDMENTS: 1) If Evangelion and Psycho-Pass are his only 10s, he probably also worships Tool and smells like cheesy puffs 2) Freudian psychosis =/= good writing 3) Moe blob art style is only ok in pure slice-of-life comedy 4) It's ok to enjoy shounen. Having fun is allowed 5) It is not ok to enjoy isekai (jk, it is, I just fucking hate it) 6) Creator breakdown =/= good writing 7) A story does not have to be wrapped up with a bow. Life is messy, why would a good story need to be tidy? 8) InuYasha is proto-Twilight 9) Ecchi CAN be good, but is almost always an abomination 10) If God is real, They allowed Super Kid to happen, so fuck Them |
| its just so cringy and cliche yet I love it so much lmao great episode, less focus on comedy more on perfecting the players and battles themselves, but I'm really sad Danji is retiring watching him play was so mesmerizing |
| While I wish the card fights in general were longer than what they are, I can let it slide, as the characters really drive the show honestly. Which can make for an entertaining show. Wonder what'll come next. |
| This is definitely a huge departure from the previous Cardfight Vanguard series. The battles in this anime are just a minor thing... they are focusing more on the characters (and in my opinion, doing a poor job at that). I hope they show us longer fights in the future (like they used to). |
| Three episode in and I still have no idea how this game works at all... I'm guessing you need to have to watch all the other ones to understand? I don't think I want to keep watching this show because I don't even know what I'm watching. |
| Ya this is getting worse and worse. This is not even a card game anime. It is a SoL spin-off with the Vanguard name slapped on it. They took away all of the fight animations and sounds. Cardfights in past series always gave off this sense of hype and entertainment, which this series fails to do horribly. I never thought I would say a Vanguard series is worse than Asia Circuit or G season 1. |
| Yuuyu did good and almost beat Danji, but wow Danji is stopping Vanguard? That's sad. |
