| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Episode 9 is out! A very HappyAra 2021 to y'all! And Photon Maiden has arrived! Well Maho, you're not wrong if Happy Around is 8th (HA), but would be great if y'all picked up the pace instead! And the Sunset Stage Yoba Festival of the Top 8 groups, it'd be interesting to see this rivalry. Supernova Photon Maiden trailing from behind HappyAra, and their impressive rags-to-riches performance shows it all, but only one rap group can make it up to the Sunset Stage (If you'd ask me, I would vote for Photon Maiden). Girls, better buck up and power up this time around! DAYUM Yuka with those ABS selfies, she's ripped. And Rinku's...attempting the same...? A wild MOMMA Raychell is seen...quite a sponsor for Photon Maiden. The new song seems half-completed, better do something about it...fit Rinku, or the entire group altogether! And fortunately, Rei seems like a good fit. Anticipating good things for the one-on-one fight next week. |

| Yep. Playing games, especially BG! or LL! it just sucks when you got a call or a notification. Totally relatable. 8th really means 8th place. Rinku has it right. D4DJ vs Photo Maiden is not really a fair matchup... A whole studio behind PM...it reminds me a little of BG! S3 Roselia vs RAS and the fight for the third place with Popipa qualifying for the spots at Budokan. "HARD". Rub rub HARD. Hmmm Cannot wait to see the battle... Both deserved a spot at Sunset but I wish HAPPY AROUND be the winner. |

| It's time for Rei to stay in the center and sing. Photon Maiden's performance is very good, and I love their costume. Photon Maiden will get a lot of votes. However, I think Happy Around's performance will surprise us for sure. So, their competition will be very interesting. I really want both of them to perform in the Sunset Stage, both of them are deserved. Rinku power up by eating breakfast more than usual, that's really our Rinku. |

| I've been waiting for this. Finally Photon Maiden make a proper appearance. Too bad Merm4id, and Rondo is in college and Lyrical Lily is from another school. Anyway we can probably share the feeling of Muni when someone message you while playing a game. Make you want to punch them in the face. The long wait is very worthy. Cannot wait for the full showdown. It will be blast when Non-chan take the lead. |

| Ah, almost forget this show still exist at my watch list. Lol. Happy Ara was busy preparing their unit for a new brand moves and song, in order to beat Photon Maiden out of the eighth ranks. I am honestly surprised that Photon Maiden was actually at the ninth, and surprisingly became the rival in order to defend last place at the new year event festival (that mostly became this show last place to come with). Well, well, interesting plot and really unexpected. It seemed that Photon Maiden was also a newly formed unit from the open auditions, and those lady that looks like their producer slightly indicated something not good to their future, if they lost. I thought i got to see Photon Maiden members in a proper introductory. Guess, it might happened in the next episodes, or not, lets see it then. Well, about Happy Ara, its not too surprising. Rei must be felt uneasy with how everyone not clicked well with her new song. But, that Rinku end scene must be found something interest with Rei last show-off, hope it would make Rei felt better and created a nice performance at the next episode. That kind of end transition really bugged me a bit, tho. But, nevermind that, lets see the next! |

| I think changing main vocal to Rei for once will be a good idea. She ghas more interesting vocal, though, less fitting for happy Around style. And I really hope we'll get another season with remaining groups. |

| Photon's Maiden looks really slick. Perhaps that's what Happy Ara is missing, more matching outfits to make it more a group? But yeah, Rei should sing that song. The way she managed to sing that while also playing the piano at the same time, a new star is born in the group. |

| Happy new year mates! A D4DJ episode is one hell of a good choice for my first anime of this year. - Muni's phone notification killing her ingame is a terribly relatable feel when I forget to turn them off playing D4DJ. - Shinobu finally accepting that she has interest in them, hehe. - Photon Maiden's performance was probably my fav so far, god that was amazing. - Yuka's abs continue to be perfection, wish I was Rinku touching them, ONEGAI MUSCLE. Overall nice episode as usual, hyped for the Rei song that is most likely coming next! I really hope we get some Photon Maiden interactions next episode as well. |

| Photon Maiden's performance was spectacular! that blue spacey/icey theme was really cool. Song was really good too. Seems like Rei will be the lead for their new song, will definitely be a big change. Will it be enough to make them qualify though? |

| My little lesbian princess Rei singing is angelic. It was so beautiful and she should take the lead so they can win. Rinku blushing face really told how much she loves her wife's singing. And when they have won my lesbian lovebirds should kiss,,,,YEEEEEEEEEEES Rei is my main lesbian in this. And in the next episode I want her to shine more then she ever have shined before ❤ ❤ ❤  |

I love her voice, but I think is sad that she is so shy, her seiyuu have a great voice but both Rei and Rinko (from Bandori) are so damn shy they don't really stand out much :C Photon Maiden is great, loved their song!!! But I cannot hear their songs without thinking of Aya (also from Bandori) everytime Ibuki sings alone XD Awww man this anime is so good, I can't wait to see the results of the band duel! btw I think the scenes of Yuki showing off her abdomen feel really out of place lol |

| Alright I finally took a day off from anime for once (yep its true), and I came back with some D4DJ! Happy Around got 8th place and they have the opportunity to perform at the Sunset Stage, I guess a prestigious performance in their school festival. But the 9th place is actually Photon Maiden, the group whom have rejected their song before (and bcos of that Rei got to join the group, thus completing their lineup). It's going to be a tough one, since now they are tied for 8th place and a win-or-lose match will commence between the two groups. Not gonna lie, Photon Maiden are actually cool and good-looking. Yeah they got a major label as their foundation, but looking at their brand even in real life, you would think that they are really legit. And because of that strong image and some cool songs to boot, Happy Ara will need a revamp or as they say themselves, a power-up! Skip skip some (envious) ripped abs and we got Rei focusing on making a new song to perform for the matchup. She did have some powerful tune, but it was a mismatch on Rinku and their image as well. So they decided to go for the EZ bet, which kinda let Rei down for a bit. But she did realize what to do, she has to sing the song for herself! When we cut to the scene where Rei is singing while playing the piano, I'm gonna say it, her voice is angelic and damn I'm euphoric. I AM LOVING THAT VOICE, and it meshes well with the 3d movements of the abime, oh it's so good to experience that scene. |

| I feel like Photon Maiden is bit hard to root for. I haven't played their stories in the app, so I am sure they do a lot, but I much prefer units doing everything themselves vs a unit backed by an agency's money and power. Does Photon Maiden even write their own songs, since just a few episodes ago they were asking for people to submit songs for them as a contest...? Also personal preference, but I really hate the outfits Photon Maiden wears. Someone this episode said Happy Around is the exact opposite of Photon Maiden in terms of image, and I definitely fall into the Happy Around camp between the two. Really excited for next week's episode and new song! |

Actually their story in the game is exactly about them wanting to be more independent and doing at least part of the work (previously done by their staff) by themselves. They are still backed up by their agency though. Also, if I am guessing right about D4DJ timeline, their story is a quite big spoiler for events that'll happen in the next few episodes, but we will see if I am right about that. |

| Happy Ara finally made it to eighth rank but Photon Maiden also went up and now they are both tied at rank eight. Time for Photon Maiden vs Happy Ara, I'm excited. Also wow looks like Rei chan's gonna sing the song this time. |

| Yuka is really hot with her ripped abs. Photon Maiden was very good, but I still prefer Happy Around! Their music and performance style pleases me a little more. Rei has such a beautiful voice. Now it's her turn to shine on stage! :) |

| I feel like Photon Maiden's sudden fall to force them and Happy Around to face off on stage is incredibly contrived, given just a few episodes we had our main characters write a song FOR Photon Maiden. Given that and their backing by an agency, it feels nothing short of unbelievable that they'd suddenly decline to the extent that this face-off becomes possible or necessary (not least because we haven't kept track of what they've been doing so as to make this feel plausible). Mind you, I'm not overly impressed with their performances really, as their music just sounds the same as everyone else's. 9 episodes in, and still the only song I've even remotely cared for was the first Peaky P-Key number in episode 1. |
| Photon maiden's song "dancing bright" (not sure if that is the name) was really good, like probably my favorite song I have heard in the show. They definitely give off a cool vibe, and I was really pulled into their dancing performance. I also did not realize that they were high school students? Like I thought Photon Maiden's members were professionals? |
